Overview


The Global Trade Compliance Manager (Americas Region) will be responsible for mitigating risk while controlling duty spend in Croc’s network. This role will support import/export operations in the Americas, ensuring compliance with international trade laws and regulations and specializing in activities related to Harmonized Tariff Classification.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and oversee the Global Classification Program for both Crocs and HEYDUDE 
  • Develop and maintain classification guidelines, procedures, and best practices while conducting audits for HTS classification and accuracy.
  • Classify footwear and accessory products at 6-digit level HTS and work closely with Global Trade regional managers to extend to global HTS mappings
  • Collaborate effectively with Sourcing, Logistics, and Legal teams to ensure alignment on trade compliance initiatives
  • Partner closely with Product Design/Development teams to accurately forecast duty impact for both brands
  • Identify tariff engineering opportunities where applicable
  • Support classification claims to US Customs and other relevant Customs authorities across the Americas if needed
  • Maintain Crocs & HEYDUDE duty rate charts
  • Serve as a liaison with customs brokers, trade consultants, and external partners to optimize compliance processes and resolve issues
  • Prepare and present classification and duty seminars throughout the year, including periodic reporting on the Global Classification Program and training of internal teams on trade compliance issues and HTS classification processes
  • Engage with cross-functional teams as needed
  • Identify opportunities for continuous process improvements and implement solutions
  • Uphold best practices to ensure Crocs and HEYDUDE are in full compliance across all jurisdictions in the Americas.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in International Trade, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance or related field preferred 
  • 8+ years of relevant Trade Compliance experience
  • Strong understanding of HTS classifications (experience with footwear a plus)
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multi-task and stay organized 
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills 
  • Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills 
  • Takes initiative to generate ideas to drive business and contribute to organizational effectiveness 
  • Team player with demonstrated ability to work effectively with multiple cross-functional groups

Salary or Pay Range: $87,000-$97,000  

Workplace Persona: Collaborator  

Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.

 

This position is eligible to participate in a company incentive program.
