Overview

The Benefits Administrator position is responsible for administering, auditing, researching and analyzing the company’s benefit plans to ensure compliance with all company policies, as well as state and federal laws. The Administrator will make recommendations for changes and provide assistance and subject matter expertise on all employee benefit programs, process, policies, vendors and other related matters for North America, and will serve as a resource to HR Business Partners for all benefit related inquiries. The Administrator is also responsible for administering all leaves of absence in accordance with company policy and state and federal regulations, partnering with a vendor, to ensure a smooth and clear process.

What You'll Do

  • Provide front line customer service and support for benefits function.
  • Serve as primary contact to resolve employee benefit issues.
  • Work with healthcare partners to resolve issues and or concerns.
  • Administer all leaves of absence, adhering to company policy and state and federal regulations and laws.
  • Ensures Leaves vendor has correct and applicable information and policy documentation.
  • Coordinates leave information between vendor, employee and payroll, to ensure a smooth process.
  • Ensures Benefit Portal is up-to-date and maintained and works with vendor to ensure functionality.
  • Coordinates and publishes benefits information and documents on the portal, as necessary.
  • Ensures all benefit-related information in all systems is maintained appropriately.
  • Creates/updates and conducts benefit presentations for hire orientation and open enrollment to enhance Employee understanding of the Company’s benefits package.
  • Supports open enrollment process, by providing input as part of the recommendation phase and working with the Broker on policy and employee communication documentation.
  • Works closely with COBRA administrator and oversees administration of COBRA process.
  • Assists in administration of the 401k Plan and audits and works with vendor regarding distributions, withdrawals and loans on the company 401k plan.
  • Document and maintains administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
  • Maintains all plan documents, such as SPDs and develops administrative process to ensure they are maintained and provided appropriately.
  • Review and approve benefit-related invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment. Designate company charges for various benefit invoices such as service awards, COBRA remittance, and disability plan.
  • Administers wellness initiatives.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • At least two years of benefits-related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study.  Additional years of experience may substitute.
  • Strong knowledge of benefit regulation and law compliance and policy development and implementation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate at all levels of organization.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to analyze data to make decisions and/or recommendations that impact the business.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to confidential materials/issues.
  • Proven success in a fast paced environment.

Title: Benefits Administrator 

Salary or Pay Range: $60,000 - $70,000  

Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.
