Overview

The Training Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring that employees are well-trained and equipped with the necessary skills to perform their tasks efficiently and accurately within a fulfillment center or warehouse setting.  They will work collaboratively with Operations, Safety, Engineering, IT and HR to create a positive on-boarding experience.  They will create, maintain, and enforce training around our operational standards (SOPs) to ensure the success of our STEP it UP program. This position will need to interact and communicate with all levels of leadership at the distribution center.  The Training Coordinator will report to the Training Supervisor.

 

This position supports our Weekend Shift, Friday - Sunday, 6am - 630pm.  
 

What You'll Do

  • Own the mechanics of the STEP it UP training program for new hires. Own all Training related reporting, updates to the Learning Management System (LMS), and assist with SOP compliance.
  • Monitor department performance to ensure that training is pro-active and that operational standards are being met. Utilize department KPIs (UPH, EP%, Utilization%, etc) to monitor new hire performance. 
  • Facilitate classroom trainings for Safety, Ergonomics, RF101, Equipment Practices, and more. 
  • Complete observations for all new hires for SOP sign offs in their first 30 days.
  • Manage changes, edits, and the creation of new SOPs.  Work with Operations, Engineering, IT, IC, and operations regarding SOP validation and making any updates to our SOP structure.
  • Utilize our Learning Management System (LMS) to store department specific SOPs/Videos. Maintain accurate records of training sessions and employee progress.
  • Review training processes and perform audits to ensure processes are being followed.  Collaborate with Engineering to perform validation observations and ensure standards match the process.
  • Update other support platforms for new hire readiness. This includes our RF cabinet program, supply cabinet programs, and other misc. items. required for proper new hire setup.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years’ experience in a distribution center environment
  • 2 years dedicated experience as a Trainer, familiar with training on a WMS a plus
  • Proven experience using metrics to drive behavior change and results
  • Experience creating quick reference guides and visual tools
  • Experience with Labor Management Standards and Manhattan WMS preferred
  • Familiar with formal training / coaching models
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of Employees
  • Ability to constructively coach and provide feedback
  • Ability to use technology to enhance the learning experience (LMS, mobile devices)
