Overview

The Digital Product Developer will be responsible for the digital thread environment and 3D printing. The digital thread includes the digital twin visualization, PCT Communication, digital process continuity, and providing digital 3D assets for the marketing, legal, or planning team. The position is a member of the Global product development team will work with and support the Product Creation Team and global 3D Experience platform.

What You'll Do

  • Work with a global, cross-functional team from design and development milestones through commercialization to build breakthrough products that
  • Maintain Product Electronic Bill of Materials (EBOM)
  • Creation and maintaining a digital material library
  • Management of 3D Experience project schedules within a development season
  • Understand and drive timelines with our cross-functional departments
  • Management of 3D data exchange and published library
  • Load and maintain revision of photos of 3D prints within 3D Experience and Centric PLM System
  • Maintain the rapid prototyping process, submitting rapid part requests, and presenting the deliverable (physical 3D print)
  • Help support the initial fit process through documentation of rapid parts and lasts
  • Responsible for the digital and physical management and storage of prototypes and Last samples in Crocs, Inc. HQ
  • Communicate opportunities to product teams for improved construction in molding capabilities (fit, functionality)
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities
  • Exploring opportunities for 3D Asset preparation software, 3D Printers, scanners, virtual reality environment, innovation shop equipment
  • Ability to work independently and provide guidance to the teams through explanation of facts and policies
  • A great foundation in rapid proto-typing material
  • Able to navigate and prioritize results in a fast-paced working environment
  • Ability to shift with the constantly evolving needs of the business
  • Proactively maintain clear team communication regarding the printing status (3D Experience Collaborative Tasks) and handoff of physical rapid parts.
  • Understand the product development process
  • Printer maintenance, troubleshooting, material ordering

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in mechanical design/engineering, Industrial Design or a related field
  • Two (2+) years of experience in product creation or similar role is required. Education, beyond requirements, in a related field may substitute for professional experience requirements on a year for year basis
  • Working knowledge of 3D CAD Software platforms and SketchFab, including the ability to review, export, and embed data into component properties
  • Expanded conceptual understanding of 3D prototyping
  • Strong project and time management skills
  • Ability to help establish or improve the rapid prototype process
  • •Proven verbal and written communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives
  • Be a problem solver, who can work independently, and deal with ambiguity using experience and precedent knowledge
  • Able to develop situational responses for unique process exceptions
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated with strong decision-making capabilities
  • Effective collaborator adept at working efficiently within a cross-functional team environment in a timely manner
  • Informal leadership and guidance abilities
  • Some domestic and international travel may be required

Salary or Pay Range: $65,000 - $75,000  

Workplace Persona: Collaborator  

Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.

 

This position is eligible to participate in a company incentive program.
