Overview

The Sr. Merchandise Financial Planner collaborates with merchandising, category management, planning, and finance counterparts to align on preseason category sales, demand, and choice count goals each season. This position will help identify tops down targets by category to maximize sales and achieve margin goals. Responsibilities include optimizing business opportunities, forecast accuracy, and category performance based on history and current trends. The highly collaborative nature of this position requires excellent communication skills, keen attention to detail, and strong analytical abilities.  This collaborator role offers a hybrid work schedule: 60-80% a week in our Westwood, MA office.

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for the creation/maintenance of regional preseason and annual sales and demand plans in collaboration with merchandising, planning, capacity, commercial, and finance teams. 
  • Collaboratively builds and proposes category SKU counts and other financial targets to the merchandising and category management teams each season to enhance profitability.
  • Maintains the MFP tool and is responsible for updating monthly channel-level forecasts each season with thorough validation to ensure accuracy.
  • Tracks product/category performance and uses analytics to identify key insights, the latest trends, and recommends solutions to improve profitability.
  • Creates/maintains hindsight analysis to impact future seasons’ plans around volume, margin, and productivity.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • BS or BA in business, finance, merchandising, or related field, or equivalent years of relevant and related experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in merchandise planning, demand planning, or financial planning; preferably in consumer goods, footwear, or fashion/apparel industry
  • Extensive experience and proficiency in Excel with BI skills a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities 
  • Excellent communication skills with keen attention to detail 
  • Proven ability to successfully work in a highly cross-functional environment
  • Effective time management with demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet established deadlines
  • Highly motivated and able to quickly adjust to changing priorities and conditions

Salary or Pay Range: $93,000-$103,000

Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.
