Overview

Reporting to the Director of NA WHS Merchandising, the Sr. Manager, Merchandising will lead the Family and Fashion Athletic Specialty channels. This role is responsible for developing seasonal assortments and strategies grounded in consumer and business insights, SKU and door-level productivity, and financial targets. As a key cross-functional partner to Planning, Marketing, Sales, and Category Management, you will provide clear insights and direction to align and complete seasonal strategies. As channel lead, you will serve as the expert on marketplace trends, competitive landscape, and consumer mindset—using those insights to strengthen and evolve the product offering. Above all, this role requires a passion for team leadership and the development of others.

What You'll Do

  • Develop seasonal tools and assortments that meet consumer needs, drive growth, and align with broader Brand initiatives.
  • Leverage consumer insights, business trends, planning and sell-through data to translate insights into clear actions that inform current and future assortment strategies.
  • Drive intentional assortment segmentation aligned to merchandising strategy and marketplace needs.
  • Build assortments that protect core volume through key products while introducing newness to unlock incremental growth and whitespace opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships to ensure alignment and collaboration at all critical decision points.
  • Lead and present at key milestone and breakthrough meetings, both internally and with external partners.
  • Balance long-term strategic vision with day-to-day execution to deliver results.
  • Lead through empowerment, prioritizing people development and fostering a culture of curiosity, consumer-centric thinking, and analytical rigor.
  • Lead, develop, and support team members to enable high performance and growth

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 8+ years of proven experience in Merchandising or Buying roles with proven experience in driving product assortments.
  • 3 + years of people leadership or team management experience
  • Strong organizational skills & attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of footwear product creation process, timeline, and terminology.
  • Comfortable with conducting presentations virtually and in-person to large groups, including leadership and external partners.
  • Able to analyze retail and financial data to develop and deliver capacity targets and unit and revenue goals.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Suite, Excel savvy and be able to use pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, charts, etc.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence and engage others as well as navigating difficult conversations with partners and cross-functional team members.
  • Ability to lead with empowerment, agility, and emotional intelligence.
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced and matrixed environment with high degree of collaboration.
  • Willingness to travel internationally or domestically as needed
  • Experience within PLM system (Centric or similar)

Title: Sr. Manager Merchandising 

Salary or Pay Range: $135,000 - $145,000 

Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.
