Overview

The Senior Director of Stores is a senior retail leader responsible for driving performance across a multi‑state region spanning multiple Crocs, Inc. brands. This role owns regional strategy, financial performance, operational excellence, talent development, and customer experience. Acting as both a geographic leader and brand steward, the Senior Director translates enterprise strategy into consistent, high‑impact execution in stores.

 

Partnering closely with leaders across Product, Marketing, Allocation, HR, Finance, and Real Estate, this role plays a critical part in accelerating growth, strengthening market share, and delivering compelling brand experiences for Crocs and HEYDUDE.

What You'll Do

Strategic & Enterprise Leadership

 

  • Set and implement a multi‑year regional strategy that drives profitable growth, elevates consumer experience, and strengthens brand presence.
  • Serve as the primary owner of regional results, ensuring consistent execution of brand and enterprise priorities across all markets.
  • Lead strategic business reviews and communicate insights, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.

 

Own Financial & Operational Results

 

  • Maintain full P&L accountability, including revenue, profitability, labor optimization, cost controls, shrink mitigation, and productivity.
  • Identify market trends and consumer insights to proactively adjust strategies and improve revenue opportunities.
  • Drive operational rigor and consistent execution of brand standards and customer experience expectations.

 

Market Growth & Brand Expansion

 

  • Identify market opportunities and competitive risks to inform fleet optimization and expansion decisions.
  • Partner with Real Estate and Finance on store openings, relocations, remodels, and closures.
  • Balance regional customization with global brand standards.

 

Operational Excellence

 

  • Promote operational rigor and ensure consistent execution of brand standards and customer experience.
  • Use digital tools and technology to improve labor, efficiency, inventory, and customer engagement.

 

People Leadership & Development

 

  • Lead, coach, and develop District and Area Managers, building strong leadership capability and succession pipelines.
  • Develop a culture of accountability, inclusion, recognition, and high performance.
  • Partner with HR on workforce planning, engagement, and talent initiatives.

 

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

 

  • Partner with Marketing to bring brand storytelling and consumer engagement to life in stores.
  • Influence Allocation and Planning through regional insights to optimize assortments and inventory.
  • Leverage digital tools and technology to improve efficiency, inventory management, and customer engagement.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • 10+ years of progressive retail leadership experience, including extensive multi‑unit or multi‑region oversight.
  • Proven ability to influence and interact with executive and C‑suite leaders.
  • Proven experience in planning and a track record of leading transformation initiatives
  • Exceptional financial acumen with experience managing large‑scale P&Ls.
  • Ability to interpret data, identify macro‑trends, and turn insights into strategic direction.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire, coach, and elevate large teams.
  • Mastery of communication, storytelling, and executive‑level presentation.
  • Experience navigating complex, fast‑growing, or global retail organizations.
  • Dedication to diversity, equity, inclusion, and building culturally proficient teams.
  • Flexibility to travel extensively and operate in a hybrid corporate/field leadership capacity.

  • Ability to move merchandise with appropriate equipment to and from backroom and sales floor
  • Ability to place and arrange items on all shelves and racks
  • Ability to climb and descend ladders while carrying merchandise
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds or more with assistance
  • Ability to be on your feet for a minimum of 8 hours per shift and to continuously move around all areas of the store
  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, or balance for a duration of time
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, reports, and information on computer/register screens as well as input information into computer

Title: Sr. Director of Stores 

Salary or Pay Range: $212,000 - $220,000 

Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.

 

At Crocs, Inc. we believe in the power of a blend of in-person and virtual collaboration to drive creativity and strengthen relationships. Your participation in this flexible schedule plays a key role in building a connected and successful team. In-office requirements vary by our work personas: Resident (5 days), Collaborator (4 days), Connector (2-3 days), Explorer (fully remote). This role has been aligned to the Connector persona.
