Overview
The Director of Retail Allocation is a senior leader that will develop and implement strategies for product supply to meet or exceed the overall retail financial sales & inventory goal for Crocs Inc. retail stores. This role will be accountable for ensuring inventory levels are aligned with the OTB/Buy plan to achieve revenue forecast and improve profitability for the various retail channels. The position will also set the vision for all inventory flow & management processes including capacity, timing & execution. This person will report to the Senior Director of Retail Planning & Allocation.
What You'll Do
- Assist in leading strategy and oversight of Retail Allocation for all Crocs Inc. America’s retail stores including Crocs and new to launch Hey Dude locations.
- Partner with the Merchant, Store Operations, and DC teams to develop and implement strategies.
- Ensure inventory levels, assortments, quantities, and sizes are appropriate to achieve the company’s sales and profitability objectives.
- Handle store inventory by category to appropriate levels, and initiate adjustments as needed to support sales and minimize unproductive excess.
- Provide oversight for the planning process by channel & category.
- Provide forecast analysis in conjunction with Planning and Finance teams.
- Understand and lead all aspects of the retail flow needs based on seasonality, promotional activities, trends, category/gender, channel sales objectives, inventory turn goal in total & channel, sales drivers and life cycle plans.
- Assist in planning/forecasting and analyzing promotions and markdown activities.
- Provide weekly/month/quarterly analysis and business recaps.
- Own the Open to Ship process with cross-functional partners in Planning & Merchandising.
- Work with Planning and Merchants to understand and validate on order and communicate any/all opportunities & risk
- Ensure products are shipped timely to stores. Raise forward any issues and lead problem resolution.
- Weekly meetings on DC shipping requirements based on forecast.
- Coordinate and develop team of allocation analysts.
- Define system functional improvements to meet the needs of the business.
What You'll Bring to the Table
- Bachelor’s degree in business, or equivalent experience and education
- Demonstrated ability in Retail Merchandise Planning and/or Allocation
- Experience with Retail planning and allocation systems
- Proactive approach to leading others
- Full understanding of merchandise planning and allocation, assortment planning, SKU optimization, pricing strategy, markdown strategy, and promotional planning
- Understanding of key performance indicators and elements that drive retail profitability and inventory productivity.
- Sophisticated Microsoft Office skills – particularly Excel
- Must have strong critical thinking skills, which involves the ability to identify and summarize the problem, question, or issues.
- Strong organizational skills for planning work and continuously supervise progress.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills and ability to optimally communicate at all levels of organization.
- Ability to persuade, influence and build consensus among key strategic business partners.
- Ability to drive achievements of revenue goal, margin, turn based on the financial goals.
- Shown sound business judgement and strong understanding of supply chain, planning, allocation, and inventory control.
- Ability to work closely with functional and cross-functional team members and strive toward a unified vision.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and tackle problems of varied scope, must be able to act critically in recommending, implementing solutions.
- Shown success multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Travel up to 25%

Salary or Pay Range: $160,000 - $170,000
Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.
