Overview

Our Routing Clerks are responsible for coordinating between wholesale customers, freight providers, and the internal shipping teams to manage the flow of outbound goods from the facility. They are responsible for submitting routing requests through various customer TMS or WM systems, ensuring that customer provided routing and shipping instructions are executed to prevent customer chargebacks, scheduling pickup appointments that maximize operations efficiencies, and managing any associated administration. The Routing Clerk is instrumental to ensuring the smooth running of the outbound wholesale operation, while partnering with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure that all administration is taken care of regarding the dispatch of goods.

 

This position supports the Routing Department, Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm.

What You'll Do

  • Coordination of outbound shipments to an assigned portfolio of wholesale customers
  • Request routing instructions using various methods of communication, including phone, email & TMS.
  • Ensure all orders are routed in a timely manner and in accordance with routing/shipping cadences
  • Updating of routing status in Salesforce
  • Proactively monitor and communicate any issues to the Routing Lead, Vendor Compliance, Operations & Management
  • Implement strategies to improve overall routing process and actively participate on projects affecting routing
  • Work cross functionally to solve any problems with orders/shipments
  • Assist with researching of routing related customer chargebacks
  • Work closely with peers to drive continuous improvement throughout all processes with constant focus on Safety, Quality, Cost Management and Productivity
  • Work at or above established productivity standards
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in routing, customer service, transportation, or logistics
  • Prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high degree of efficiency and accuracy
  • Interacts with all levels of internal and external customers
  • Computer knowledge including, but not limited to MS Office (intermediate to advance), WM, TMS & Salesforce
  • Good oral, written, communication and problem-solving skills
