Overview
The Maintenance Worker performs intermediate-level troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a variety of automated systems and facility equipment in a 1.3M square foot Footwear & Accessories Distribution Center. This role supports daily operations by ensuring systems such as conveyors, automated storage and retrieval (AS/RS), and building infrastructure remain operational.
This role will support our 2nd shift, Monday - Thursday, 5:00pm - 3:30am.
This position will be posted for ten days for internal candidates to apply: 8/25/2025 - 9/4/2025.
What You'll Do
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on conveyors, AS/RS, and related automation
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment issues
- Assist with facilities maintenance including plumbing, lighting, and general repairs
- Use computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for documentation and tracking
- Provide guidance to Maintenance Worker 1 as needed
- Ensure safe work practices and compliance with OSHA standards
- Assist vendor technicians as needed
What You'll Bring to the Table
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–3 years of experience in a maintenance technician role, preferably in a warehouse or automated environment
- Previous support of AS/RS, sorters, and robotics preferred
- Ability to perform basic diagnostics on PLCs
- Previous experience using a CMMS for reporting and tracking preferred
- Previous experience participating in Root Cause Analysis preferred
- Basic understanding of electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Understanding of downtime protocols and experience participating in recovery operations
- HVAC and Electrical certifications preferred
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
Physical and Environmental:
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for most of a 10- or 12-hour shift
- Must be able to work in a warehouse environment that is not climate-controlled and to work outside in any weather
