Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and thorough Industrial Engineer to join our Continuous Improvement team within our high-tech, automated Distribution Center. This role will play a key part in maintaining and optimizing labor standards, enhancing operational performance, and driving sustainable improvements across the DC.
The ideal candidate will be deeply committed to enhancing process efficiency, well versed in engineered labor standards, and collaborates effectively with multi-functional teams.
This role will be posted for internal applications for 10 days from 3/26/2025 - 4/5/2025.
What You'll Do
- Maintain and update labor standards in partnership with Operations and CI teams, ensuring accuracy and relevance in a dynamic, automated environment.
- Analyze operational data to identify inefficiencies, capacity constraints, and improvement opportunities related to performance, throughput, and labor utilization.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and IT teams to assess the impact of automation on workflows and adjust labor standards accordingly.
- Lead time and motion studies to validate standard operating procedures and engineered standards.
- Develop models and reporting tools to track performance against standards and highlight opportunities for improvement.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven analysis, root cause problem-solving, and structured project execution (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies, systems, or automation solutions with a focus on optimizing productivity.
- Train leaders and team members on standard methodologies and tools to reinforce a culture of continuous improvement.
- Support cost-savings initiatives by identifying ways to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
What You'll Bring to the Table
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a distribution center, supply chain, or manufacturing environment; automation exposure preferred.
- Experience with labor standards development and maintenance (e.g., MOST, PMTS, or similar systems).
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, SQL, etc.); experience with WMS and LMS systems a plus.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and multi-functional collaboration skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
