Overview
The Continuous Improvement Specialist is responsible for current and future process improvements by working with operations, training, and quality teams on implementing best practices, engineered standards, lean & 5S concepts. Sustain the facility organization and cleanliness by introducing tools and quality controls into processes.
What You'll Do
Develop Continuous Improvement, and Lean Six Sigma projects
- Drive results, lead development of ideas, and implementation of those ideas
- Updates to Stakeholders
Solicit and investigate improvement ideas from others
- Develop and maintain a system for associates to submit ideas, process for evaluation, implement, and provide feedback
- Document all ideas provided, regardless of area of focus, and propose to the SME or put on hold for future improvements
Establish Engineered Standards to monitor associate performance
- Help maintain existing standards and standards program by informing supervisor, observing associates, and analyzing data
- Perform time studies to validate existing standards
What You'll Bring to the Table
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or a closely related discipline
- Experience with a predetermined time and motion system such as MTM, MOST, or EASE preferred
- 1-2 years continuous improvement experience or relevant classroom experience
- Strong communication skills
- Lean Six Sigma experience, Greenbelt preferred
