Overview

The Key Account Manager drives commercial activities and revenue growth with selected Japan footwear key accounts, as well as build and execute a strong commercial and strategic lead-focused sales plan for key accounts, coordinate and activate all brand departments to execute relevant sales activities to maximize success and create an exponential future growth path.

The Key Account Manager supports the strategic vision and roadmap with the priority for key account growth in the Japan market. The role will also support execution of our Wholesale strategic planning, drive brand priorities and pillars, and influence and collaborate with cross functional teams in the Japan market and our APAC regional headquarters.

What You'll Do

Japan Market Footwear Key Accounts leadership to drive Key Account Growth

  • Develop, manage, and execute the sales and business plans for the assigned (key) accounts within the Japan market and coordination of the sales plan (by account and product).
  • Deliver the expected exponential growth with focus on selected footwear key accounts
  • Leverage processes and operating tools to drive the collaboration by implementing the strategic model for these customers.
  • Maintain positive relationship with (key) accounts responsible and manage the business by season, month, and full year to achieve financial target goal.
  • Know competitor activities, involving the responsible accounts/channel.
  • Understand consumer behaviors of responsible accounts.

Supporting and executing Japan market /APAC wholesale strategies with focus on Key Accounts

  • Drive input and being the footwear business advocate for all relevant aspects of the key account business.
  • Plan, analyze and implement projects and initiatives in an effective and short time period across internal functions and lead the initiatives across all focus channels and Key Accounts.
  • Develop, in coordination with the market sales lead, a sales plan (by account and product) for Japan footwear Key Accounts and execute accordingly.
  • Collaborate with VM and Marketing team to develop/maintain the in-store Brand communication and/or in season promotional campaigns to represent the best of Crocs at account’s B&M stores and/or ecommerce sites. Utilize rounder services for key accounts and doors where applicable.

Develop Japan Key Accounts profitability and productivity

  • Consult with manager and director regarding development of business plans and is accountable for achieving sales quotas.
  • Analyze, evaluate and report required sales information in a timely manner.
  • Visit customers as well as stores routinely, to evaluate assortments and make proper revisions to satisfy market needs.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with key accounts in line and agreed with company expectations.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, Marketing, Merchandising and Logistics teams to drive stronger profitability and focus on key KPIs
  • Pay attention to G2N activities of each account to promote seasonal initiatives, reduce cancels /discounts, and account’s inventories, while prioritizing Margin and Net Revenue.
  • Seek additional At Once business opportunities utilizing Excess inventories if available.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of successful sales and key account management preferably in the footwear, casual or sport industry within the Japan national key account environment
  • Deep knowledge & experience of the wholesale landscape focused on Japan Key Accounts
  • Ability to assess customer needs quickly and to establish industry-leading relationship between the brand and key account channel
  • Able to collaborate successfully in a complex matrix organization driving partnership and relationship focus
  • Proven track record in driving successful growth strategies in complex environments
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent in Japanese and English
  • Balance of strategy and deal-maker mentality with innovative, flexible, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Willing to travel in market
