Overview

This position is responsible for administering management to a group of store managers for a specified geographic district in Japan. Manages multiple store managers and adjusts sales goals and procedures as appropriate for the store based on goals set by the corporate Retail support teams. District Sales Manager is responsible for retail store manager training, assignments, and financial accountabilities.

What You'll Do

  • Establish high standards for management performance and set clear expectations for store manager function.
  • Communicate and ensure compliance with all company policies and directives.
  • Maintain an uncompromising level of business ethics and integrity.
  • Meet or exceed district financial projections and maximize revenue opportunities, working with Retail Operation team.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills through compliance with operational checklists.
  • Identify and implement labor management tools to schedule effectively and to maximize productivity, profitability and margins while adhering to all applicable federal, state and local laws governing store operations.
  • Deliver a high level of operational excellence including store appearance, loss prevention, cash handling, inventory control, visual merchandising, and safety and security of people and assets.
  • Maintain high leadership standards to achieve successful management development.
  • Lead by example and empower partners to do what it takes to create an exceptional guest experience.
  • Manage and develop guest service skills of each manager to ensure each guest receives friendly service upon each visit to the store/outlet.
  • Supervise and manage store manager function identified in district and provide specific and timely feedback through coaching and corrective action to improve personal and district performance.
  • Assess and develop talent within the team for future growth. Select, assess, and develop talent with the team through recruitment and hiring of qualified Ambassadors.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 4-6 years of retail management experience
  • 2-4 years of multi–unit management experience required
  • Lead by example.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including English at a business level
  • Strong Interpersonal and coaching skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Analytical and decisive
  • Experience in fashion and/or sport lifestyle industry is advantageous
  • PC Skills – MS-Office, Lotus Notes, Internet
