Overview

The Demand Planner ensures accurate demand forecasting and optimal inventory management for the Retail channel. This role supports financial targets by collaborating closely with Sales, Merchandising, Finance, and Customer Service.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead monthly demand reviews and S&OP processes

  • Build SKU-level sales forecasts and improve forecast accuracy

  • Analyze weekly sales, sell-through, and size curves to adjust plans

  • Forecast core products using statistical models and global tools

  • Manage inventory strategy and monitor sales trends for risks/opportunities

  • Recommend liquidation plans for excess inventory

  • Collaborate on cross-channel/country inventory opportunities

  • Develop pre-season product forecasts and support seasonal planning

  • Drive process improvements and reporting using planning tools

  • Analyze past performance to inform future planning

  • Forecast Accuracy

  • Inventory Turns & Excess

  • In-stock Rates

  • Annual Operating Plan (AOP) Targets

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or above

  • Experience: 2+ years in demand planning (FMCG or fashion preferred)

  • Skills:

    • Strong analytical and Excel skills

    • Proficiency in planning software and Microsoft Office

    • Fluent in English, business-level Japanese

    • Collaborative, detail-oriented, and adaptable

    • Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines

  • Travel: Limited / Domestic
