Overview
The Production Execution Manager of HEYDUDE is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end footwear development process—from initial brief, CAD, and TechPack stages through prototyping, size fit confirmation, and final product readiness—ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality samples and production readiness. They collaborate cross-functionally with the Asia Jinjiang office, US teams, and factories to align with HEYDUDE’s GTM calendar and RSACI guidelines, serving as a business and technical resource to the Senior Product Engineer within the product execution department, while fostering transatlantic co-ownership of projects and proactively addressing quality, manufacturing, and capacity concerns.
What You'll Do
- Achieve seamless product prototyping development and engineering—from initial Tech Package and Specs receipt through spec lock, size fit, confirmation sampling, and Buy Ready—by coordinating with factories and QA to meet project milestones.
- Connect cross-functionally with US Product Development and Jinjiang teams (Lab, Materials, Costing, Planning, Quality) to translate footwear manufacturing expertise into design execution, sharing updates, documenting process issues, and managing Centric/Central Shared Drive records, while delegating to Sr. Product Engineers as needed.
- Think proactively to initiate internal/external team meetings during development and commercialization, guiding decisions to hit seasonal critical dates (Sales Samples, Production Confirmation, etc.) and ensuring product manufacturability.
- Innovate by recommending material, component, and construction options to US and Jinjiang teams, aligning with costing targets and functional goals, while validating product integrity through cross-functional testing.
- Grow technical mastery in pattern engineering, mold-making, materials, and manufacturing processes—plus vendor norms—while mentoring Sr. Product Engineers, hosting US visitors, and facilitating smooth project transfers.
What You'll Bring to the Table
- 8+ years footwear development or production experience; 10+ years’ experience without degree.
- Product knowledge and thorough understanding of product process are required.
- Experience working with Factories. Brand and Off-shore US.
- High sense of integrity.
- Strong footwear background (minimum 7 years of shoe making experience, including technical shoe making skills).
- Production management experience.
- Thorough knowledge of shoe construction, materials and their use in footwear, upper patterns, bottom components, tooling, and costing.
