Overview
The Role Tooling Manager for Crocs, Inc., Crocs is responsible for
• Team Leadership: Supervising and guiding tooling engineers, technicians, and other related staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Tooling Strategy Development: Formulating and implementing strategies for tooling design and maintenance that align with the company’s production goals and quality standards.
• Budget Management: Establishing and managing the tooling budget, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising quality.
• Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing process enhancements to improve tooling efficiency, reduce costs, and extend tool lifespan.
• Vendor Coordination: Managing relationships with external tooling suppliers to ensure timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
• Maintenance Oversight: Developing and overseeing predictive and preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maintain production quality.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensuring all tooling operations comply with safety regulations and quality standards, promoting a safe working environment.
What You'll Do
- Manage all bulk production, set up mold manufacture/inspection/modification/maintenance SOP in all mold shop/shoe factory
- Manage all additional mold manufacture /inspection/delivery/modification/maintenance in all mold shop/shoe factory
- Manage all Crocs design/modification requirements are followed at the mold shop/shoe factory
- Give expert advice on mold development
- Manages all transfer mold, last delivery schedule / inspection / quotation / shipping for other Crocs’ globe branch.
- Team management and Resource Optimization. Ensure the work efficiency of team members and product quality. Be proficient in arranging the optimal production resources to guarantee both quality and delivery time.
What You'll Bring to the Table
- College or above
- Minimum 3 years of experience in CAD building and 5 year’s of experience in Tooling
- Background knowledge in CAD design software (especially in Catia or Rhino software)
- Strong knowledge and work experience at the injection IP / rubber/compress EVA/ TPU/PU/TPR/ABS/PVC compound unit bottom and parts or related mold manufacture area
- Good oral and written English communication skills
- Strong analysitcal, problem solving and decision-making skills are a must
- Have leadership, planning and organizing skills
