Overview
The Senior Manager, Frontend Engineering for Crocs, Inc will lead and inspire a team of frontend developers in delivering cutting-edge, web-based digital experiences. This role requires a dynamic leader with a passion for mentoring, strong interpersonal skills, and deep technical expertise in modern frontend frameworks and composable commerce architectures.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping the way the web frontend team works, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration, and ensuring the successful delivery of scalable, high-performance web applications.
What You'll Do
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of frontend developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
- Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and career development support.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with project managers, product managers, UX designers, quality assurance specialists, and backend teams to deliver cohesive digital solutions.
- Implement scalable frontend solutions using React and Next.js.
- Champion the use of advanced React patterns (e.g., hooks, context, render props, HOCs) to build maintainable and performant applications.
- Drive adoption of React best practices, ensuring seamless migration to future React-based architectures.
- Collaborate with our frontend architects to integrate with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) using OCAPI and SCAPI in an API-first approach.
- Ensure best practices in performance, accessibility, and responsive design across all digital touchpoints.
- Establish and enforce development standards, CI/CD pipelines, and testing strategies.
- Monitor and optimize delivery to improve cycle time on tickets, reduce time-to-market for new features, and reduce regressions and issues found in QA.
What You'll Bring to the Table
- 8+ years of professional experience in frontend development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Expert-level proficiency in React, Next.js, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Proven experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, particularly in headless implementations using OCAPI/SCAPI.
- Strong understanding of composable commerce architecture and API-first development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a track record of mentoring and team development.
- Experience working effectively with a cross-functional team in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience with performance optimization and web vitals preferred.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices preferred.
- Related certifications or coursework preferred.

Salary or Pay Range: $155,000 - $165,000
Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.
