Overview

This role is responsible for preparing and completing tax returns and reports for various tax obligations, including federal, state, local, property, and sales taxes. It ensures compliance with all required deadlines and stays up to date with relevant tax laws affecting the company. The role involves reviewing proposals for tax implications and recommending actions that align with business objectives while managing tax obligations. Additionally, the position provides support for tax audits and may participate in addressing tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions.

What You'll Do

Marketplace:

· Provides support for issuing electronic invoices (NFEs).

· Responsible for issuing GNRE forms (State Tax Collection Guide).

 

Tax Administration:

· Calculates taxes owed, focusing on ICMS Tax Substitution for sales to end consumers.

· Generates the necessary data for accurate completion of tax payment forms.

· Collects relevant information for recovering improperly paid taxes.

· Records fiscal books in compliance with legal requirements.

· Manages the registration of fiscal books with the appropriate regulatory bodies.

· Prepares and submits accessory tax declarations to tax authorities, regulatory agencies, and taxpayers.

 

Audits:

· Provides support during internal audits, ensuring the availability of required information and compliance with tax regulations.

 

Managerial Support:

· Performs system registrations, ensuring data is updated and accurate.

· Prepares managerial economic and financial reports, providing strategic insights for decision-making.

· Prepares supporting documentation and reports according to management demands.

· Manages document availability with strict control, ensuring compliance and organization.

 

Tax Accounting:

· Performs tax classification of documents and transactions, ensuring proper registration.

· Issues invoices for returns and transfers as needed.

· Manages the receipt of invoices, ensuring accurate registration and timely processing.

· Handles tax withholding in accordance with current legislation.

· Issues tax payment forms to fulfill fiscal obligations.

· Organizes and archives fiscal documents, ensuring compliance with retention and accessibility standards.

What You'll Bring to the Table

Minimum Education:

· Higher education in Accounting Sciences

 

Minimum Experience:

· At least 4 years of relevant experience

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

· Knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP)

· Experienced Excel user

· Experience with Process Documentation

· Experience with Internal Controls

· Ability to meet deadlines

· Excellent communication skills
