Overview

Crocs is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join the Asia legal team to support a broad range of corporate, commercial and operational legal matters. The role partners with cross-functional teams to provide practical, business-focused legal advice, ensure compliance with applicable laws and support strategic objectives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

 

What You'll Do

  • Provide advice on general legal function matters including corporate governance, leasing, brand collaborations, social media, digital platforms, commercial contracts, employment law and product liability in a diverse, regional role.
  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of legal, commercial and corporate documents and contracts.
  • Review and advise on the company’s rights and liabilities under existing commercial and corporate agreements.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments across diverse subject areas impacting the business in the region and ensure compliance.
  • Liaise with external legal counsels on litigation matters.
  • Conduct internal compliance work related to data protection, privacy, safety, labelling, amongst others.
  • Advise management on statutory/regulatory issues with potential commercial and legal implications.
  • Provide value-added legal advice to help manage and mitigate the risk and liability of the Asia region.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor of Law Degree
  • Minimum 10 years PQE with at least 3 years as an in-house counsel for a multinational organization.
  • Good knowledge and experience in commercial law and contract negotiations.
  • Commercially-savvy and have a practical approach to the practice of law.
  • Must be able to think creatively and provide solutions to problems as they are encountered.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin.
  • Good team player and ability to work with senior management team as well as peers.
  • Well-versed with contract law in major Asian countries an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, communication and drafting skills, an eye for detail.
  • Prepared to travel at short notice around the region.
