Overview
We are seeking a highly commercial Senior Director, DTC Merchandising APAC who thrives in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and is motivated to work within a passionate, high‑performing leadership team.
This role is accountable for the successful execution of the Crocs product strategy across all APAC owned retail stores and digital channels, driven by best‑practice merchandising processes that elevate the consumer experience.
As a key member of the Regional Merchandising Leadership team, the role requires a highly agile and decisive leader with strong communication skills, capable of influencing and representing the APAC perspective with Global partners and country‑level cross‑functional teams.
What You'll Do
Regional Merchandising Leadership & Execution
- Operate at both a strategic and hands‑on level, leading the In‑Season Merchandising team and driving execution of the regional merchandising strategy.
- Serve as the regional point person for all DTC Merchandising matters, including responding to ad‑hoc Global requests across retail and digital channels.
- Oversee merchandise readiness for new store openings, acquisitions, and digital platform launches from an assortment perspective.
Trading, Launch & Performance Management
- Ensure key launch milestones are met and enable 100% right first‑time activations across all markets through close partnership with Regional VM, Digital GTM, and Country Merchandising teams.
- Set and direct quarterly promotional strategy, including tent‑pole moments, in‑store activations, deals, and events to optimize revenue and margin.
- Lead the weekly trading process, supporting Country Merchants to make informed decisions based on product performance and consumer insights.
Forecasting, Insights & Continuous Improvement
- Review seasonal product forecasts at key gates and partner with DTC Planning to influence outcomes.
- Consolidate weekly, monthly, and seasonal hindsight to derive insights and actions, sharing learnings with Global Merchandising partners.
- Lead the regional seasonal hindsighting process, translating market‑level insights into regional learnings that inform future assortment decisions.
What You'll Bring to the Table
- At least Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of progressive merchandising experience across both Digital and Retail environments, within a regional or multi‑market context.
- Demonstrated merchandising leadership experience in China is required, with a strong understanding of the China consumer, retail ecosystem, digital platforms, and operating nuances.
- Proven people leadership experience, with a strong track record of inspiring teams, driving strategic thinking, and leading change while constructively challenging the status quo.
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability, with the ability to translate data and insights into sound business decisions.
- Deep understanding of the broader APAC fashion and consumer landscape, with sensitivity to market differences and growth opportunities.
- Highly data‑driven, applying insights to inform day‑to‑day decisions and longer‑term merchandising strategy.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional partners.
- Strong product sensibility, creativity, and a customer‑centric mindset.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving capability and agility in navigating complexity within a fast‑paced environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel across the APAC region and to US as required.
