Overview
We are seeking a highly commercial and dynamic Regional Merchandising Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is eager to work within a passionate and high-achieving team. This person will be responsible for delivering the product assortment for Japan DTC: Retail & Digital, through close collaboration with cross-channel partners to ensure the needs of the Japan consumers are best served and the Crocs brand strategy is successfully conveyed.
As a member of the Regional Merchandising team, this individual should be highly agile and an excellent communicator, capable of acting as an influential voice for the APAC region to both global and country-level cross-functional teams. The role requires a deep understanding of the local market, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to lead the development and execution of seasonal product strategies that resonate with the Japan consumer.
What You'll Do

Seasonal Hindsight & Reporting: Consolidate the seasonal regional hindsight process and collaborate with in-country merchandising teams for a holistic output. Provide key insights to global management for continuous product strategy improvement.

Sub-Channel MFP & Strategic Vision: Contribute to sub-channel MFP plans, collaborating with the planning counterpart to match them back to the country’s strategic vision. Identify risks and opportunities at the product level.

Seasonal Slot & Revenue Planning: Build seasonal slot plans to meet SKU targets and ensure revenue goals are met. Identify new development needs and feed them into the Global product cycle at the right time.

Channel Segmentation & Monthly Newness: Lead channel segmentation strategies based on consumer behavior by door type, climate, and geography. Propose the ideal monthly newness flow to align with the commercial calendar and past year’s performance spikes.

Seasonal Product Calendar & GTM Alignment: Work with the Head of Country Merchandising to align on seasonal product calendars and GTM strategies. Ensure these are in sync with the assortment strategy and global marketing plans.

Pricing Strategy: Partner with cross-channel merchandising counterparts on pre-season MSRP setting and contribute to regional pricing strategies to meet consumer needs. Stay informed on competitor pricing trends and attend weekly business review meetings to track demand shifts and adjust assortments as needed.

Market Insights & Global Feedback: Conduct regular market visits to understand trends, consumer appetite, and product opportunities. Provide timely and impactful feedback to the global team within defined timelines.

Channel Exclusives & SMU Opportunities: Optimize channel-exclusive strategies, SMU opportunities, and license/collaboration adoption. Collaborate with Wholesale and Digital teams to ensure market synergy.

Sell-Through Analysis: Review weekly sell-thru analysis to assess product performance and adjust future assortments as needed.

Global Product Alignment: Attend global product milestone meetings to ensure the regional merchandising team is aligned with global strategies.
What You'll Bring to the Table

Education: Degree level or equivalent with related work experience.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant merchandising experience.

Leadership: Proven track record of motivating teams, strategic thinking, challenging the status quo, and leading hearts and minds.

Market Awareness: Deep understanding of the APAC fashion market.
