Overview

Director of Distribution Logistics (D&L) Regional Operations APAC is responsible for establishing and leading a regional excellence center team. Objectives are to build a scalable regional D&L excellence organization by optimizing the flow of product through our network of DCs, driving a culture of continuous improvement through application of best practices and aligned with global supply chain strategy, supporting the supply chain in reaching financial & service goals. The role will be working in cross functional leadership & collaboration in execution of projects, proactive identification of barriers & risks and building mitigation plans in partnership with the business to identify key problems / needs to be solved for.

What You'll Do

  • Establish and lead regional D&L Excellence team
  • Own and develop strategic roadmap for regional D&L Excellence team
  • Responsible for key Center of Excellence areas, including 3PL tendering, integration and new business integration
  • Ownership of regional Distribution Business Intelligence (BI), analytics, and dashboards
  • Digitalize scalable and efficient regional BI best practice solution
  • Accountable for establishing seamless data integrations with 3PL suppliers
  • Drive strategy and implementation of short-, mid-, and long-term capacity control tower.
  • Deliver operational excellence, best practice, and synergies across the APAC region
  • Responsible for regional value creation and driving excellence towards local APAC D&L teams and business
  • Envision and lead strategy for regional D&L BI and analytics agenda
  • Drive identification and deployment of best practices across distribution network centered around design & layout optimization, labor utilization and workflow to maximize the efficiency of our operations
  • Proactively drive regional digitalization strategy implementation to ensure efficiency.
  • Experienced people leader with passion for people and a proven track record of identifying and growing key talents

  • Partner with the Human Resource Department to facilitate development plans, reviews, interviews, hiring, terminations, and coaching
  • This role will empower team members to deliver results against established goals and priorities, while creating an environment where everyone can do their best work.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Degree, preferably in the areas of Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering (or equivalent work experience)
  • 10+ years of experience in the high growth, highly automated distribution center environments
  • Experience with IT implementation and 3PL integration
  • Experience leading distribution center design and layout initiatives
  • Experience with 3PL outsourcing and interfacing
  • Demonstrated experience in managing senior stakeholders, working in a diverse and multi-functional environment
  • Prior experience leading DC operations a plus.
  • Thrives in an organization under continuous development and on growth trajectory
  • Self-driven and proactive character, taking ownership and leading own area forward
  • Capable to impact the organization broadly by own initiative
  • Experience working in an automated environment required (specific experience with Wholesale, Ecommerce and Retail a plus)
  • Strong experience with performance metrics and process improvement
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to handle changing priorities and use of good judgement in stressful situations
  • Ability to motivate team members and beyond with strong conflict management and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative, possesses good interpersonal and communication skills and able to manage assigned responsibilities independently
  • Ability to drive a collaborative team environment to achieve solutions best fit for the company.
  • Travel requirement of at least 1 week per month in other countries. Estimate >25%.
