Overview
The Director, International Visual Merchandising is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and scaling the Visual Merchandising vision, operating model, and performance standards across all international markets and channels (Retail, Outlet, Wholesale, Distributor). This role sits at the intersection of brand, commercial strategy, and customer experience, ensuring a consistent global expression of Crocs while enabling meaningful local market relevance. Operating as a key partner to Global VM, Marketing, Merchandising, and Store Design, this leader will translate brand vision into scalable, principle-led solutions—shifting the organization from reactive execution to proactive, strategic impact.
What You'll Do
Global-to-Local Strategy & Leadership
- Define and lead the international VM strategy, ensuring alignment with global brand vision and long-term commercial priorities
- Establish clear guardrails and decision frameworks that balance global consistency with market-level relevance
Systems, Frameworks & Ways of Working
- Build and operationalize scalable VM systems and frameworks (e.g., windows, launch zones, campaign expression, Jibbitz, EXP, EOSS)
- Lead the evolution from asset-based execution to principle-led merchandising systems that enable flexibility without sacrificing consistency
Operating Model & Cross-Functional Integration
- Design and continuously evolve the international VM operating model, including decision rights, governance, and engagement models across Global, Regional, and Market teams
- Lead a centralized International VM Hub, ensuring tools, playbooks, and training are intuitive, scalable, and performance-driven
- Partner closely with cross-functional leaders (Marketing, Merchandising, Store Design, Retail) to align priorities and reduce friction across high-demand stakeholders
Talent & Capability Building
- Build and lead a high-performing international VM organization, including org design, capability frameworks, and succession planning
What You'll Bring to the Table
- 12+ years of progressive Visual Merchandising leadership, with significant international and multi-channel experience
- Proven ability to build high-performing teams and scalable operating models across diverse markets
- Demonstrated success influencing senior stakeholders and leading through complex, matrixed organizations
- Strong commercial acumen, with a track record of linking VM strategy to measurable business impact
- Expertise in balancing global brand consistency with localized execution
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-cultural collaboration skills
- Systems thinker with the ability to simplify complexity and drive clarity at scale
