Overview
The Senior Planner, Production Planning, based in Shenzhen, China, is responsible for managing factory purchase order execution, coordinating value-added service requirements, and supporting process improvement and digital planning initiatives. This role partners closely with factories and cross-functional teams to ensure timely PO confirmation, production readiness, shipment execution, and continuous improvement across planning processes. The role reports to the Supervisor, Production Planning.
What You'll Do
- Own end-to-end lifecycle management of assigned factory purchase orders, from PO release through final shipment delivery.
- Drive timely PO buy confirmation and factory commit discipline, including proactive follow-up on aging or no-commit POs.
- Manage PO changes, including pull-ins, push-outs, and quantity changes, while assessing supply and execution impact.
- Serve as the key point of contact with factories to ensure alignment on timelines, priorities, and delivery commitments.
- Coordinate value-added service requirements, including packaging, labeling, ticketing, and special services, ensuring readiness and data completeness before production.
- Partner with Vendor Compliance, Packaging, and factory teams on VA setup, feasibility, execution timelines, changes, and issue resolution impacting shipment readiness.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across production planning processes by identifying bottlenecks, execution gaps, and risks, and implementing standardized, scalable solutions.
- Develop and enhance planning tools, dashboards, automation solutions, and reporting frameworks, while ensuring data accuracy and consistency across systems such as SAP and Infor Nexus.
What You'll Bring to the Table
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in production planning, supply chain execution, operations, or a related area.
- Strong understanding of PO lifecycle management, factory operations, sourcing processes, and shipment execution.
- Proven experience supporting process improvement, digital tool development, dashboards, or automation initiatives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills, with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Power Query, or similar tools.
- Experience with ERP or supply chain systems, such as SAP and Infor Nexus, is preferred.
- Fluent in spoken and written English, with strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrates strong execution ownership, a process excellence mindset, continuous improvement orientation, and change leadership capability.
