Overview

Coordinate cross-functional teams and provide back-end system support to ensure stores are fully prepared for opening and maintain smooth, stable day-to-day operations. Drive alignment across stakeholders, ensure store data and system configurations are accurate and timely, track operational issues, and support stores in meeting company operational standards.

What You'll Do

  • Project planning and governance - Create and maintain store-opening plans, milestone trackers, checklists and RACI; organize kick-off and progress reviews; identify dependencies, delays and escalation needs.
  • Cross-functional coordination - Act as the Retail Operations coordination point across Store Development, Finance, IT, HR, Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Supply Chain, District Managers and vendors.
  • Store data and system setup - Consolidate and validate store master data; coordinate store-code creation and required system setup, including SAP, POS/APTOS, payment/tender settings, devices, network and user access; follow through on testing and issue closure.
  • Opening readiness - Track permits and required documents, staffing readiness, training, initial inventory, fixtures, supplies, uniforms/work shoes, staff badges, signage, marketing materials and opening-day operational needs.
  • Site handover and pre-opening support – Assist relevant teams with operational input during site handover, punch-list follow-up and pre-opening inspections; support the verification of safety, security, cash handling, stockroom, customer flow and operating readiness before opening.
  • Budget, purchasing and payment support - Track approved opening budgets and purchase/payment status; prepare or coordinate PO/Non-PO requests, invoice documentation, deposits and vendor follow-up with Finance and Procurement.
  • Opening execution and stabilization - Support opening-day execution, coordinate issue resolution, and maintain an issue log through the post-opening stabilization period; complete handover to the store and relevant owners.
  • Reporting and continuous improvement - Provide clear status reporting on progress, risks and decisions; conduct post-opening reviews, capture lessons learned and continuously improve templates and opening standards.
  • Other retail operations support - Support store closures, special retail projects and other operational assignments as required.
  • Ad hoc work - Perform other duties, ad hoc tasks and operational support assignments as requested by the line manager or business needs.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Business Administration, Retail Management, Project Management or a related field; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
  • 2-4 years of experience in retail operations, store opening, project coordination or multi-store support; experience in footwear, apparel or lifestyle retail is preferred.
  • Strong project coordination, planning, follow-up and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple openings and changing priorities.
  • Detail-oriented, accountable and able to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills; comfortable working with internal teams, store teams, landlords and vendors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word; experience with project trackers and retail systems such as SAP/POS is an advantage.
  • Good written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Willing to travel according to project needs.
