Overview

The HR Business Partner Manager – Brazil serves as the main HR contact for the Brazil Country Manager and local leadership team. They manage the People & Culture strategy end to end in the Brazil market.

This role is accountable for translating business priorities into people strategies and delivering high-impact HR solutions across talent, org design, employee relations, and workforce planning. As the in-country HR leader, this role ensures alignment with global HR priorities while tailoring approaches to local market needs, regulations, and culture.

What You'll Do

Strategic HR Partnership

  • Act as the primary HR advisor to the leader leading all aspects of operations in Brazil, supporting business strategy, decision-making, and organizational efficiency
  • Partner with local leadership to define and implement the country people strategy, aligned to business growth priorities
  • Provide thought leadership on organizational design, team effectiveness, and change management
  • Drive leadership capability and build strong, high-performing teams across functions
  • Drive alignment and positive relationships between local management and international operations

Talent & Workforce Planning

  • Lead workforce planning, organizational planning, and talent management across Brazil
  • Coordinate with Talent Acquisition to ensure strong hiring strategies and execution for key roles
  • Identify capability gaps and partner with Talent Development to design and deploy targeted solutions
  • Champion a strong performance culture, including goal setting, feedback, and development
  • Implement HR strategy for new retail store launches, ensuring strong talent, onboarding, and operational readiness

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Own employee relations strategy for Brazil, ensuring consistent, fair, and compliant practices
  • Provide advice and coaching to managers on performance management, engagement, and disciplinary actions
  • Partner with legal and external advisors as needed to mitigate risk and support compliance with Brazilian labor laws
  • Lead and coordinate complex employee relations matters and investigations

HR Program Delivery & Localization

  • Collaborate with worldwide HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deploy and adapt global programs locally (Total Rewards, Talent, HR Operations, etc.)
  • Ensure HR policies and practices are localized, compliant, and effectively communicated
  • Serve as the voice of Brazil, providing input to build global programs based on local market insights

Culture, Engagement & Leadership

  • Drive initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, culture, and retention across Brazil
  • Partner with leaders to build an inclusive, high-performance culture aligned with company values
  • Lead or support key change initiatives and organizational transformations within the country

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 6–10+ years progressive HR experience, including HRBP experience in Brazil
  • Solid knowledge of Brazilian labor law and HR practices
  • Demonstrate ability to partner with senior business leaders (Country Manager / Director level and above)
  • Experience working in a global organization with matrixed stakeholders
  • Strong business insight with the ability to translate business strategy into people solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations, talent management, and organizational design
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and get results in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English, preferably Spanish as well

 

ROLE SCOPE & IMPACT

  • Primary HRBP to the Brazil leadership head and management team, with an opportunity to expand scope across other LATAM countries over time
  • In-country HR lead, accountable for the full employee lifecycle
  • Works independently with support from regional HR leadership and global COEs
  • Leads cross-functional HR initiatives and drives local implementation of global programs
  • Exercises sound judgment in complex business and people decisions
