Overview
The DTC Demand Planner analyzes business trends across eCommerce and Crocs-owned stores and converts insights into actionable demand plans that support profitable growth and healthy inventory turns. This role partners cross-functionally to build aligned seasonal and monthly demand plans using sell-in and sell-out data, inform purchase requirements, and guide both in-season actions and pre-season merchandising decisions.
What You'll Do
Accountability 1: Demand Planning Leadership
- Lead monthly DTC demand planning processes across eCommerce and retail channels.
- Balance revenue opportunities & supply needs while supporting commercial/financial targets.
- Develop monthly channel plans by material, including weeks of supply and inventory policies.
- Evaluate forecast accuracy across core and new products monthly.
- Improve and develop reporting tools that highlight trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Manage product lifecycle inventory actions and analyze SKU productivity.
- Partner with channel planning teams to align strategies across the market.
- Recommend buying strategies and inventory allocation across channels.
Accountability 2: DTC Planning ( eCom, 3p Marketplaces and Owned Stores)
- Define assortment strategies in partnership with channel leaders and global merchandising.
- Set material option counts and revenue targets for each store location.
- Create planning strategies that help the team consistently deliver weekly, monthly, and seasonal revenue goals with accuracy and timeliness.
- Partner on promotional cadence decisions to improve inventory turns and profitability.
- Use cross-channel transfer processes to optimize inventory placement.
- Plan initial allocations for new product collections based on volume, store tier, and demand.
- Monitor daily and weekly sales to identify replenishment needs and keep key styles and sizes in stock.
Accountability 3: KPI Alignment (In-Season and Pre-Season)
- Partner with global planning, regional merchandising, finance, and commercial teams to set seasonal goals aligned to channel KPIs.
- Develop channel and classification targets by material with the commercial team across full-price and value business.
What You'll Bring to the Table
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, merchandising, planning, or a related field required. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Minimum Experience:
3+ years of experience in demand planning or open-to-buy planning, ideally within a multi-channel apparel or footwear environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Experience in forecasting and demand planning.
- Experience with open-to-buy (OTB) planning.
- Working knowledge of inventory management and replenishment planning.
- Experience with merchandising financial planning and/or integrated business planning.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Power BI experience preferred, especially for dashboard development.
- Experience with integrated planning systems.
Travel Requirements: Minimal travel expected, <10%
