Overview
Crocs is seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Last Engineer to join our Global Last Execution team.
This role is crucial for supporting developing, refining, and standardizing shoe lasts across our Global product lines.
The Last Engineer will work closely with Design, Product Development, and Manufacturing teams to ensure consistency, comfort, and quality in our footwear.
What You'll Do
- Last Development & Standardization: Support the creation and refine shoe lasts to maintain Crocs Inc. signature fit and comfort across global markets.
- Technical Execution: Ensure lasts align with ergonomic principles, manufacturing feasibility, and brand requirements.
- Collaboration: Work with designers, product developers, and production teams to integrate lasts seamlessly into the footwear development process. Work close also with our Last supplier Globally
- CAD & 3D Modeling: Utilize Delcam, 3D Experience Software, Catia, Foot Scanner software to design and modify lasts for various footwear styles.
- Prototyping & Testing: Support the prototype creation, analyze fit and comfort, and adjust lasts accordingly.
- Manufacturing Support: Collaborate with factories and suppliers to ensure accurate last production and troubleshoot any technical issues.
- Quality & Innovation: Drive improvements in last-making processes, keeping up with industry trends, new materials, and emerging technology.
What You'll Bring to the Table
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in footwear last engineering, development, or manufacturing.
- Proficiency in CAD software (Delcam, Shoemaster, Rhino), or similar.
- Strong understanding of foot biomechanics, ergonomics, and footwear construction.
- Ability to communicate effectively across teams and collaborate with overseas suppliers.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience with 3D printing or CNC machining is a plus.
- Ability to travel internationally 10% of the time.
