Overview
The Area Manager, Germany for Crocs is responsible for leading and supporting multiple retail locations to achieve sales, profitability, and operational excellence. This role drives consistent brand execution, develops store leadership teams, and ensures outstanding customer experience. The Area Manager also analyzes performance metrics, implements critical initiatives, and partners cross-functionally to meet business goals.
What You'll Do
- Lead and develop Store Managers by setting high performance standards, providing coaching and feedback, and building strong succession pipelines.
- Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement while recruiting and developing future leaders.
- Ensure operational excellence and compliance across all stores, including visual merchandising, brand representation, inventory management, loss prevention, health, and safety standards.
- Drive financial performance by managing area budgets, payroll, and expenses, adjusting strategies to meet sales goals and market trends.
- Leverage data and KPIs to identify trends, optimize performance, and inform decision-making.
- Champion outstanding customer service by leading in-store and implementing initiatives that strengthen engagement and brand loyalty.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align on brand standards, staffing, inventory, and retail strategies, ensuring effective communication and execution.
- Communicate and implement new programs and change initiatives while ensuring compliance with employment law and company policies
What You'll Bring to the Table
- BS or BA in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field/equivalent years of relevant experience.
- Excellent communication abilities in English and German (written and verbal)
- Must be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Internet Microsoft Office, POS and general digital literacy
- Flexible work schedule (which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours) and regular attendance is vital. Travel is required for this role both by car & air.
- Proven track record of being able to work autonomously, while having strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and time management skills
- Excellent business and financial competence, including operational analysis
- Proven track record to exceed sales while meeting payroll goals, demonstrated ability to identify, hire, train, develop and retain top talent Managers as well as teams, ability to reason through complex issues, demonstrates effective communication, ability to present information to large groups
- Ability to move merchandise with appropriate equipment to and from backroom and sales floor. In addition to standing for extended periods per shift and to continuously move around all areas of the store daily
