Overview
The Senior HR Business Partner, Retail is a core part of the Regional Retail Leadership team - designing and executing a People & Culture strategy for the Retail organization in Europe and Australia including talent management, workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, leadership development, succession planning and organizational effectiveness. This position is critical for the Owned & Operated Retail business which has witnessed extraordinary success expected to grow to 50 stores in the coming year.
What You'll Do
- Partner with Retail leaders, store managers, and employees to strengthen engagement, morale, productivity, and retention.
- Develop workforce, talent, and succession plans aligned to business strategy and leadership development goals.
- Analyze workforce trends and metrics to inform HR solutions, programs, and policies.
- Support Health & Safety initiatives for new and existing stores, including assessments, training, and onboarding integration.
- Serve as a trusted HR advisor on employee matters, engagement, compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Partner with Legal and external counsel as needed on employment-related matters.
- Provide guidance on performance management, coaching, career development, and corrective actions.Interpret, communicate, and support HR policies, practices, and procedures.Lead employee relations efforts, partnering with leaders, COEs, and external experts as needed.
- Support retail field leadership with workplace investigations and resolution strategies.
- Act as the senior HR lead for all people-related aspects of new store openings (NSOs), ensuring a positive employee experience.Partner cross-functionally with Retail, HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to execute store opening strategies successfully.
- Evaluate NSO effectiveness and drive continuous improvement through project feedback and insights.
- Collaborate with HR COEs and Shared Services to deliver HR solutions aligned with Retail business needs.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on recruiting, onboarding, and workforce planning initiatives.
- Identify development needs and partner with Talent Development to implement training programs.
- Provide local market insights to support competitive compensation and benefits strategies.
- Maintain and communicate HR policies, handbooks, and labor agreement information to ensure compliance and consistency.
What You'll Bring to the Table
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- 5+ years of HR Business Partner experience supporting retail field/fleet organizations.
- Multi-country European HR experience with knowledge of employment legislation and best practices; UK, France, and Germany experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of core HR disciplines, including talent management, employee relations, diversity, and performance management.
- Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong partnership and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate across HR and business functions at all levels.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills, both in person and virtually.
- Comfortable navigating change and ambiguity with a flexible, solution-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and HRIS platforms, such as SuccessFactors.
- Fluent in written and spoken business English; additional European languages preferred.
- Skilled in facilitating meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
- Demonstrated discretion and ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
