Overview
The Director of Operations and Field Management, EMEA is a senior leadership role with responsibility for scaling and optimizing Crocs’ retail operations across an expanding direct market territory (currently Germany, UK, France, Benelux, and Austria).
This role requires strategic foresight and an international perspective to drive growth, operational efficiency, and cross-functional alignment in a business poised for significant expansion. As a member of the EMEA retail head office team, the Director partners closely with cross-functional leaders to advance strategic initiatives, brand objectives, operational standards, and long-term sales growth while developing a high-performance team.
What You'll Do
- Strategic Retail Leadership: Enable Crocs’ multi-country retail strategy, ensuring alignment with regional growth objectives and global standards. Lead the team through operational scaling efforts with a focus on readiness for growth.
- Cross-functional Collaboration & Influence: Partner with EMEA head office functions, including merchandising, marketing, planning& allocations, supply chain, finance, and HR, to influence and implement cross-functional strategies that drive store performance, and align with broader brand objectives.
- Operational Excellence: Evolve the retail operations function and set it up for scale to drive efficiencies in workforce management, inventory management, and store operations. Set and uphold high standards for compliance, service, and operational execution across all locations.
- Team Development & Leadership: Lead and develop a team of Area Managers and Operations Managers with an emphasis on coaching, skill development, and performance accountability, fostering a high-engagement and high-performance culture.
- International Expansion & Scaling: Support Crocs’ expansion into new markets and increase store counts by adapting strategies to meet unique market needs, ensuring a consistent yet locally relevant brand experience.
- Financial & Sales Accountability: Lead the field team in achieving sales targets and profitability goals across all markets, with a strong focus on performance analysis, reporting, and corrective action planning when needed.
What You'll Bring to the Table
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Retail Management, or a related field; Master degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in a corporate retail leadership position, with strong senior retail operations background, with substantial experience handling international teams and multi-market operations.
- Consistent track record of having scaled a professional head-office and field management organization across a pan European marketplace.
- Demonstrated having developed & implemented best in class playbooks & procedures
- Demonstrated experience leading high-performing retail teams and scaling operations in a growth-focused, high-performance culture.
- Strong ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams, driving strategic alignment and operational excellence.
- Analytical and financial savvy with the ability to drive sales, control costs, and handle operational budgets effectively.
- Fluent in English is a must; proficiency in other European languages (German, French, Dutch) is a plus.
