Overview
The Demand Planner for Digital Commerce plays a key role in driving mid- and long-term demand planning to support profitable business growth and maintain optimal in-stock levels for core product and seasonal products. This role requires cross-functional collaboration with key commercial partners to align on Open to Buy plans, coordinate in-season activities and contribute to the Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP) seasonal hand off
The Demand planner will participate in weekly digital management sessions and key business reviews, providing data-driven insights to support strategic decisions. The focus is on fully integrating Demand Planning within the Digital Commerce team, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and operational excellence.
What You'll Do
Update and Manage Demand Plan
- Own the Demand Plan for a defined set of product categories in the Digital Commerce EMEA Region, ensuring alignment with commercial needs for seasonal buy execution.
- Interpret changes in buying process into strategic product investments, optimizing revenue and inventory to support of corporate goals.
- Place strong focus on New Launches and Key Product initiatives, while coordinating core and carryover seasonal items with planning and supply team
In Season Coordination
- Lead inventory and supply planning efforts to proactively manage in-stock levels and minimize stockouts.
- Propose seasonal and in-season stocking strategies to commercial leads, balance margin, revenue and working capital.
- Coordinate with supply chain teams to monitor, adjust and troubleshoot supply lines, ensuring optimal inventory distribution
Open to Buy Execution
- Own and manage the OTB planning tool for the Digital Commerce channel, driving alignment across cross-functional teams.
- Present data-driven scenarios to commercial leadership, factoring in inventory turn, promotional activity and sales forecast.
- Ensure OTB data accuracy by coordinating supply and demand input
- Collaborate with the manager and cross-functional teams to support process improvements and system transitions, contributing to the evolution of responsibilities over time.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Act as the primary point of contact between Planning, Merchandising, Distribution Center (DC), and Commercial teams to execute the Go-To-Market strategy.
- Lead IBP and Seasonal Plan Alignment meetings, effectively representing the channel’s priorities
What You'll Bring to the Table
Education
- Bachelor's degree with a focus on business, supply chain, planning, or a related field is a prerequisite.
- Exceptions may be considered for candidates with substantial and directly relevant work experience
Experience
- 1-3 years planning OTB / Demand within a Digital commerce environment; highly desirable to be within a multichannel setting particularly in the apparel / footwear busines
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Strong experience in demand planning and inventory management.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Merchandising, Buying&Trading, and Distribution teams.
- Data-driven approach to demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and business decision-making.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to align with various stakeholders across the business.
- Proactive problem-solving skills to adapt to changes in market dynamics and consumer demand.
- Proficiency in OTB, WOS, and Service Level planning, with a strong grasp Integrated Business Planning.
- Extensive command of Microsoft Excel and PowerBi, utilizing these tools effectively to extract insights and make informed decisions.
- Previous experience with Demand Planning systemic solutions (Preferably 09).
