Overview

Crocs India is looking for a strategic, driven, and experienced Marketplace Business Lead to manage and scale our presence across leading e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Ajio, Nykaa, Tata Cliq, and emerging channels including quick commerce (e.g., Blinkit, Zepto). The role demands strong P&L ownership, team leadership, and a deep understanding of the online retail ecosystem, particularly in fashion/footwear categories. You will also act as a key interface between external platforms and internal teams including merchandising, marketing, and global stakeholders.

You will shape the strategy and business model and take full ownership of P&L responsibilities, including net revenue, product margin (PM), and EBIT. Your goal will be to drive sustainable growth in a fast-changing digital landscape in a band led manner, driving sustainable growth with profitability.

What You'll Do

Marketplace Business Management:

  • Own the end-to-end performance and P&L across Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Ajio, Nykaa, Tata Cliq, and emerging platforms.
  • Identify new growth opportunities and scale Crocs’ presence across online channels, including Quick commerce and other emerging formats.
  • Monitor and optimize key performance metrics: sales, margins, sell-through, visibility, returns, ratings.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Key Account Managers (KAMs) and analysts.
  • Drive operational excellence through effective planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Foster a results-driven, agile team culture focused on ownership and problem-solving.

Platform Relationships & Joint Business Planning:

  • Build and nurture strong partnerships with platform category teams.
  • Co-create joint business plans including assortment strategy, marketing activations, seasonal events, and performance targets.
  • Negotiate visibility, budgets, and exclusive drops aligned with Crocs’ brand and revenue goals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with India and regional merchandising teams to drive product-market fit and platform-specific assortment.
  • Partner with marketing to activate consumer campaigns, influencer partnerships, and performance marketing tailored to each platform.
  • Liaise with supply chain, content, and finance to ensure seamless execution and stock availability.

Strategic Growth & Insights:

  • Analyze consumer and platform insights to identify trends, demand pockets, and gaps.
  • Champion innovation in pricing, product bundling, and category expansion.
  • Lead pilots in emerging channels (like Blinkit, Zepto) and scale based on learnings.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in e-commerce, with at least 5 years in managing marketplace businesses.
  • Prior experience in fashion, footwear, or lifestyle categories preferred.
  • Deep understanding of the Indian marketplace ecosystem.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-platform businesses and leading teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • MBA or equivalent post-graduate degree preferred.
  • High energy and adaptability to manage complex challenges and tight timelines.
