Overview
The Area Manager – Retail Operations (DTC) based out of Bengaluru for Crocs is responsible for driving profitable growth, operational excellence, and consistent brand execution across assigned Crocs DTC stores. Reporting into the Retail Operations Head – DTC, this role acts as the critical bridge between stores and Head Office, ensuring strong execution across sales, people leadership, inventory health, visual merchandising, and governance while delivering superior customer experience.
What You'll Do
- Drive top-line sales growth and like-to-like (LTL) performance by improving conversion, UPT, productivity, and charms contribution while protecting margins through disciplined discounting.
- Manage store-level profitability through regular review of P&Ls, identifying risks and driving corrective actions to improve financial performance.
- Lead Store Managers and frontline teams by strengthening their capability, driving accountability, ensuring optimal staffing, and maintaining low attrition.
- Maintain strong operational excellence by ensuring 100% adherence to SOPs, customer experience standards, audits, and statutory compliance across all stores.
- Track inventory health through accuracy, sell-through, shrinkage control, aged stock reduction, replenishment planning, and inter-store transfers.
- Execute global and local visual merchandising guidelines, ensuring timely rollout of campaigns, launches, and premium brand presentation.
- Support new store launches and stabilization while providing local market insights, managing escalations, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
What You'll Bring to the Table
- MBA in Retail Management, Sales, Marketing, or related field — or equivalent degree.
- 8–12 years of experience in multi-store retail operations, preferably within DTC, lifestyle, footwear, or fashion brands.
- Strong understanding of sales drivers, retail P&L management, inventory planning, SOPs, and audit compliance.
- Proven people leadership capability with experience managing Store Managers and large frontline teams.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with HR, VM, Buying, IT, Marketing, Projects, landlords, and mall management.
- Highly execution-focused, analytical, and hands-on leader with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
