Overview

The Sr. Manager of Commercial Channel Marketing Activations in South Korea leads regional strategy for wholesale and retail marketing, adapting global platforms to local market needs to boost engagement, sales, and brand awareness. They collaborate with brand marketing, commercial teams, and external partners to develop regional sell-in and sell-through programs. This role also manages teams overseeing wholesale marketing, retail marketing, and visual merchandising.

What You'll Do

1. Regional Commercial Channel Marketing Strategy

  • Lead Wholesale and Retail marketing strategies in South Korea to meet business goals.

  • Set annual priorities, develop sell-in/sell-out strategies, and optimize retail activations.

  • Align channels with regional marketing calendar and ensure team consistency.

  • Represent Wholesale and Retail marketing in Commercial meetings.

2. Growth of Strategic Channels (GAP) + DtC

  • Integrate global marketing programs into regional wholesale and DtC channels.

  • Develop strategies for key accounts like ABC-MART and Crocs DtC.

  • Measure and optimize wholesale activations; oversee campaigns to align with strategies.

  • Collaborate with Commercial Teams, Brand Marketing, and Merchandising.

3. Retail & Visual Merchandising Marketing

  • Create and execute seasonal Retail marketing and Visual Merchandising plans.

  • Support Retail growth, new store openings, and product launches.

  • Stay updated on trends and enhance consumer experiences.

4. Resource Optimization

  • Coach and mentor the Commercial Channel Activation marketing team.

  • Improve processes and manage budgets, negotiating with agencies and partners.

  • Collaborate with MICE for insights and share local insights with global teams.

What You'll Bring to the Table

Education:
Master’s degree.

Experience:

  • 7+ years in brand management, communications, trade marketing, or related fields (preferably in sporting goods, fashion, lifestyle, or FMCG).

  • Expertise in Channel Activation Marketing for Wholesale and Retail.

  • Proficient in PR, digital marketing, and communications.

  • Experience in multinational environments with global, regional, and local knowledge.

  • Skilled in consumer analytics, project management, and agency collaboration.

  • Proven success in executing commercial campaigns and tracking KPIs.

  • Familiarity with GTM priorities and calendar alignment a plus.

  • Strong interest in pop culture, youth culture, and fashion.

Business Skills:

  • Deep understanding of omni-channel and commercial landscape.

  • Ability to set and measure KPIs.

People Management:

  • Experience managing teams and collaborating cross-functionally.

  • Proven ability to drive alignment and results in complex conditions.

  • Strong decision-making and collaboration with sales teams.
