Overview

The Manager of Digital Marketing and Communications, South Korea is responsible for leading the development and execution of localized marketing strategies that deliver measurable results. This role focuses on consumer-facing brand activations across PR, Organic Social Media, Paid Media, and Influencer Content, ensuring strong local relevance while leveraging scalable global platforms.
The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration with Brand Marketing (Integrated Marketing), Commercial Marketing, International Marketing, and both internal and external partners.
This role will be located in Seoul, South Korea and report directly to Director of South Korea Marketing

What You'll Do

1. Strategy & Localization

  • Develop and lead the country’s Digital Brand Marketing and Communications strategy across PR, Paid Media, Social Media, Influencers, and Innovation.
  • Adapt international marketing strategies to reflect local consumer needs, cultural nuances, and channel behaviors.
  • Identify and capitalize on local marketing opportunities to drive brand relevance and growth.

2. Campaign Execution

  • Execute locally tailored brand campaigns and initiatives aligned with global direction and brand objectives.
  • Plan and manage local communications activities, including PR activations and influencer-led events.

3. Agency & Influencer Management

  • Oversee day-to-day operations and relationships with local agencies (PR, Paid, Social, Influencer, Innovation).
  • Lead the identification, negotiation, and execution of local influencer partnerships to ensure impact and authenticity.

4. Social Media & Content Development

  • Grow the brand’s social media presence on locally relevant platforms in line with global strategy.
  • Ensure content is engaging, culturally relevant, and consistent with brand tone and guidelines.

5. Performance Tracking & Insights 

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on key brand KPIs to evaluate effectiveness and guide optimization.
  • Consolidate and lead the marketing input for country-level QBRs and business reviews.

6. Collaboration with International Teams and Performance Marketing

  • Act as a key liaison with the International Marketing Hub to ensure local needs are addressed and global alignment is maintained.
  • Share local insights, trends, and learnings to help shape global strategies and toolkits.
  • Collaborate with local performance team to ensure return of investment optimization for brand building and commercial impact

7. Team Leadership

  • Manage and develop the local Digital Brand Marketing and Communications team
  • Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and collaboration across marketing functions.

What You'll Bring to the Table

1. Education

  • Bachelor’s degree.

2. Experience of Marketing & Consumers:

  • Minimum 5 years of marketing experience in general brand management or brand communications (ideally at sporting goods/fashion/lifestyle or FMCG industries), trade marketing or such related functions. Footwear experience is a strong plus.
  • Holds subject matter expertise in influencer, contents development, agency management, paid media plan and optimization.
  • Holds expertise in marketing covering PR, communications and digital marketing.
  • Worked in a multinational company environment and appreciates the local / regional / global relationships.
  • Experience working with marketing using actionable insights and applying learnings.
  • In depth of consumer analytics skill, commercial and experiences in the expertise.
  • Experience in leading the projects that starts from ideations, agency briefing, proposals, productions, executions and reviews cycle.
  • Experience in generating and executing commercial channel campaign, activations and track agreed KPIs to measure its success and implementation.
  • Preferable to have experience in managing GTM priorities and calendar alignment.
  • Strong interest in Pop culture, Youth Culture and fashion industry.

3. Business Skill

  • In depth understanding social media channel landscape, user experience and commercial channel landscape.
  • Able to set KPIs and measure its effectiveness/results.
  • Business level English must have both written, and verbal.

4. People Management, Team Lead

  • Experience people management or have capability to prove people leader competency.
  • Experience working with multiple teams (including agency partners) or on multiple projects simultaneously under complexity (multiple stakeholders, complexed Projects) and still delivering results.
  • Decent decision-making skills with proven ability to drive direction and alignment with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and nurture fruitful relationships with external partners as well as internal including sales team to collaborate for bringing consumer centric, brand activation and commercial aim activations aligned with GtM.

5. Competency

  • Highly motivated problem solver with ability to understand challenges or underlying opportunities, who is willing to learn and grow together with us.
  • Track record of driving adoption of new ideas and concepts, driving into executions, while pioneering new approaches within his/her team or company.
  • Extreme attention to details with relentlessly high standards.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Korean including, meeting facilitation and making persuasive presentations and documentations.
  • Innate willingness to roll up your sleeves with agility.
  • Passion for brand and fashion – authenticity, you are a genuine enthusiast or just staring out.
