Overview
We’re looking for a Manager, Digital Marketing to lead and optimize performance marketing in Korea, managing end-to-end campaign execution across key local and global platforms: Naver, Google, Kakao, Meta, Criteo, Impact, Payco, and relevant marketplace media & ads. This role will be the Korea in-market expert who drives measurable growth through strategy, hands-on execution, partner management, and performance optimization—while collaborating closely with and reporting into our Global Marketing Hub based in Colorado, USA. You’ll work cross-functionally with global and regional stakeholders and coordinate with agencies and platform partners to ensure best-in-class planning, buying, measurement, and reporting.
What You'll Do
- Lead strategy, execution, and optimization of paid media (Search, Shopping, Display, Video, Affiliate) campaigns across Naver, Kakao, Google, Meta, Criteo, Impact, Payco, and local Marketplaces
- Own budget pacing, bid strategies, targeting, creative rotation, and ongoing experimentation to improve ROAS, conversion rate, and incremental revenue of marketing campaigns
- Serve as the day-to-day lead for agency partners (media buying, creative production, marketplace agencies, affiliate network partners), including campaign briefing, set up, QA, optimization direction, and weekly performance check-ins
- Partner with internal teams to ensure campaign alignment to global marketing strategy, while localizing for Korea market
- Collaborate with Global Marketing Hub resources on strategy, budgeting, measurement framework and testing
- Collaborate with local Digital Activation Team on creative briefing and localization of creative, promo and go-to-market calendars, and marketing alignment to commercial regional priorities
- Own weekly & monthly reporting for Korea performance across all channels
- Compile data and translate into strategic insights and actionable next steps for performance improvement
- Present insights during weekly trading meetings and check-ins with the Korea-based Digital Activation Team
- Bring a strong understanding of Korean consumer behavior and platform nuances (Naver ecosystems, Kakao properties, marketplace promotion cadence)
- Ensure localized messaging and offers are culturally relevant and aligned to Korean seasonality, holidays, and competitive landscape
- Monitor market/competitor activity and share insights with the Global Marketing Hub to inform strategy
What You'll Bring to the Table
- At least 5+ years of hands-on digital performance marketing experience, with direct execution/optimization responsibilities
- Hands-on experience running and optimizing campaigns across Korean platforms, especially Naver and Kakao, plus global platforms such as Google & Meta. Experience with Criteo and affiliate/partner marketing also a huge plus
- Experience managing marketplace marketing (paid placements, promo participation, merchandising coordination, onsite search/ads, feed optimization)
- Strong track record driving performance outcomes through structured testing & optimization
- Experience managing agency partners and cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong analytical capabilities: ability to interpret performance data and translate it into actionable decisions
- Fluent in Korean (native-level) with strong proficiency in English to collaborate with US-based stakeholders
- Core business hours are 8am – 5pm KST, but preference will be given to candidates who are open to 1-2 7am KST calls a week to collaborate with our US-based stakeholders
