Wholesale Planning Manager

Overview
This role encourages positive relationships with external wholesale customers to drive aligned inventory and sales planning, while closely collaborating with Sales, Merchant, Finance, and Customer Service. The Wholesale Planning Manager is responsible for delivering accurate demand forecasts and maintaining healthy channel inventory management for the Korea Wholesale & Etail channel. By optimally planning, handling accounts, and analyzing supply delays and inventory excesses, this role helps achieve financial targets.
What You'll Do
Key Activities
• Build Final Seasonal Forecast based on the aligned Merch Financial Plan and segmented style-color assortment plans.
• Evaluate partner prebooks in relation to the Final Seasonal Forecast and support Merchandizing & Commercial teams to drive corrective actions with partners.
• Build the monthly style-color-size level sales and operating forecast using the order bookings, Left to Book, At Once Plans and related inventory strategies.
• Develop channel inventory strategy per product category
• Build and maintain positive relationships with key customers. Engage in regular communication to review sales, forecasts, and product performance, ensuring alignment with business targets and inventory availability.
• Monitor partner inventory and OTB levels, sell-through rates, and future order bookings to ensure efficient stock availability in E2E supply chain.
• Forecast core carryover products using statistical models and global core planning resources based on customer sell out trends and OTB models
• Supervise actual sales and confirmed shipments in the month / quarter, and call out gaps to the latest forecast.
• Work with Customer Service and Supply Planning to ensure allocation plan for product launch dates can be met
• Own channel Demand Reviews and present risks & opportunities of various scenarios to drive optimized decision making and mentorship for financial budgets.
• Develop positive relationships with merchandizing & commercial teams, understanding partners' needs and finding new solutions to exceed their expectations.
• Collaborate with country planners to develop outstanding Key Account planning processes, standardize ways of workings, and assist in implementing of software.
• Conduct quantitative analysis based on past season demand and supply issues, and provide insights to optimize future planning
What You'll Bring to the Table
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience or above
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- FMCG industry is a must, preferably in apparel / fashion with wholesale business model
- Close working relationship with Sales, Merchandising and Finance
Knowledge
- Understanding of various demand planning, inventory and OTB modeling
- Strong quantitative analysis abilities
- Proficiency with Planning Software and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel. Power Point, Word) with advanced knowledge of Excel
- Proficient in English
Interpersonal Skill
- Highly collaborative with the ability to work with multiple collaborators in country and regional teams
- Commercial sense able to take care of external customers
- Comfortable with large data sets with clear eye for the detail
- Ability to format data in clear and understandable presentations
- Can cope with multiple tasks under limited time resource
- Takes initiative, challenge the status quo and adopt change
