Overview
The VP of Merchandising - DTC at Crocs Inc. will act as the merchandising lead for all DTC channels in North America. Responsible for bringing the merchandising vision to life for Crocs.com, Stores, and Digital Marketplaces, this leader has a deep understanding of the customer and consumer landscape for North America. They will partner with the DTC Global Merchandising leader to build assortments and align sales plans to achieve targets for each channel.
Responsible for creating and leading a go-to-market strategy for each channel that will meet brand revenue, profit, and customer acquisition & retention goals. This will include audience storytelling, segmented assortments, and merchandise sales plans that align to company financial targets. We are seeking a self-starter who can work in a fast-paced environment that changes frequently. This leader needs to have a growth mindset and approach every situation with “How can we” in order to help achieve the growth targets for North America DTC.
What You'll Do
- Responsible for assortment architecture and curation by county (US & CAN) and channel (.com, stores, marketplaces).
- Partner with commercial and operational leaders to build strategies that will meet the financial objectives for each channel.
- Partner with Merchandise Planning to drive inventory investments and effective OTB management.
- Lead Pricing and Promotional decisions balancing financial objectives, band strategy, and inventory investments.
- Collaborate with Marketing lead for NA to strategize product storytelling initiatives and consumer experience for all channels.
- Strategize and complete channel plans that will achieve the sales plan and engagement goals.
- Create & maintain a current in-depth mapping of the competitive landscape by consumer affinity & shopping preference. Identify/validate product opportunities, partnering with Global Merchandising to mitigate.
- Brief in photography & content needs on a seasonal basis.
- Lead weekly trading meetings to review sales, stock, and margin performance, and drive tactical actions.
- Oversee in-season trading and inventory management, including markdowns, re-forecasts, and rapid response to sales trends.
- Partner with planning and allocation teams for in-season adjustments and inventory rebalancing.
- Develop and execute end-of-season strategies to optimize inventory and margin.
- Responsible for leading DTC Merchandising team to achieve KPI’s.
- Develop DTC talent within the merchandising organization, ensuring strong fundamentals, business acumen, and a customer centric approach.
- Periodic evaluation of team structure & responsibilities to align with accelerated growth plans.
What You'll Bring to the Table
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, merchandising or related field.
- 12+ years of progressive global experience in buying and merchandising planning; footwear experience preferred.
- 8+ years proven leadership and people management skills.
- Proven ability to successfully work in a highly cross-functional matrix environment and influence key collaborators.
- Adaptability to navigate ambiguity and change while getting results.
- Strong organizational, time management and analytical skills.
- Ability to successfully communicate cross-culturally.
- Exceptional oral and written communication.
- Proficiency with Microsoft office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google docs.
- Experience navigating data warehouse systems (Power BI).
- Ability to travel domestically & internationally.

Title: VP Merchandising, DTC
Salary or Pay Range: $265,000 - $320,000
Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.
