Overview

The Sr. Planner, Global DTC partners closely with Global Merchandising, Category Managers, and Regional Planning & Merchandising teams to shape product strategies that support global revenue, margin, and brand objectives. This role plays a critical connective function across global and regional teams—translating global strategy into actionable channel and market direction through thoughtful assortment planning, investment guidance, and insights-driven decision making.

This position requires strong analytical rigor, strategic storytelling, and the ability to influence cross-functional partners across regions.

What You'll Do

Strategy & Line Architecture

  • Define the strategic shape of the category by building financial plans that establish the size, mix, and growth expectations of the line in support of global strategy.
  • Set and govern SKU targets by channel and segment, rationalizing the line through performance paretos to drive efficiency and principled investment.
  • Collaborate with the Global Merchandising division to translate strategy into execution, enabling the pass‑off of a clearly defined, financially grounded slot line to Category teams.

Planning & Forecasting

  • Drive Merchandise Financial Plan (MFP) targets by translating global goals into subregion and channel-level targets, accounting for regional nuance, trends, and performance signals.
  • Maintain alignment with merchandising and commercial partners during the transition from pre-season planning through buy execution.
  • Influence regional seasonal investments, including SKU counts, depth, and flow, to ensure alignment with global priorities and regional needs.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work in coordination with Global Merchandising, Category Management, Regional Planning, Finance, and Commercial teams to ensure alignment on seasonal direction and priorities.
  • Provide both qualitative and quantitative insights during seasonal hindsight meetings and investment reviews, synthesizing conclusions into actionable recommendations.

Analysis & Insights

  • Build, analyze, and present ad hoc analysis as needed to support leadership decision-making.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities in tools, reporting, and processes to improve visibility, efficiency, and strategic impact across the business.
  • Help define and advance new tools, reporting, or frameworks that enable more effective planning and decision-making.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Analytics, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in merchandise planning, assortment planning, or financial planning within a global or multi-region environment.
  • Proven track record to transform strategy into concrete plans and influence cross-functional collaborators.
  • Outstanding analytical skills paired with capacity for synthesizing data into clear, executive-ready insights.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and balancing global standards with regional nuance.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • Advanced proficiency in planning tools, Excel, and data visualization; experience with enterprise planning systems a plus.
