Overview

This leadership position is within the Global Information Technology organization.  This position is crucial to building a new function within the IT organization that focuses on optimizing the usage of our enterprise applications, primarily ERP.   This role requires a strong understanding of both IT systems and business operations to identify areas for improvement, streamline workflows, and drive the adoption of best practices across the organization. With this being a new team, the ideal candidate will help build this function from the ground up based on a higher-level vision.  

What You'll Do

  • Document and evaluate existing business processes for the retail industry and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Conduct detailed assessments and root cause analysis to determine if issues are related to process or technology. 
  • Responsible for connecting user activities, data flow processes, and the systems utilized to ensure seamless integration and efficiency for a retail ecosystem
  • Work closely with end-users to educate them on the best ways to shape processes within the framework of the technology.
  • Perform detailed requirements gathering to ensure the delivered technology meets the needs of the users and that it also fits well with process.
  • Work closely with IT application architects to ensure delivery of solutions meets the needs outlined in the requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and progress.
  • Communicate changes effectively to business stakeholders to ensure a high level of adoption of delivered solutions.
  • Partner with business users to develop/maintain test cases that are current and accurately represent how the technology is meant to function for the specific process.
  • Act as a first line of support to determine if the reported issue is related to process/training or if there truly is a system issue.
  • Assist in maintaining a knowledge base used to resolve common support questions.
  • Partner with project resources to enable successful handoff of new functionality into steady state support.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, operations or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in business and IT process
  • 3+ years of management level experience
  • 4+ years Retail experience 
  • Proven experience in system process mapping, requirements gathering and end-user support
  • Knowledge and experience with SAP is strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of wholesale/retail operations is strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage multi-functional partners and senior leadership 
  • Skilled or proven ability to analyze complex problems and break them down into logical, actionable parts
  • Demonstrated ability to work with business leaders as well as end-users
  • Ability to communicate system functionality to non-technical personnel 
  • Self-starter with a can-do demeanor
  • General curiosity and interest in learning about how things work 
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively 
  • Experience optimizing complex processes and recognizing inefficiencies

Salary or Pay Range: $150,000 - $160,000

Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.

 

This position is eligible to participate in a company incentive program.
