Overview
Crocs Inc. is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated, Senior Category Planner to support the Global Team. The Senior Category planner is responsible for assortment validation, and in-season and historical analysis for assigned category. This position within the Planning organization plays a meaningful role in ensuring the company’s operational and financial success. This role requires a deep understanding of market trends, demand patterns, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure flawless coordination between sales, marketing, and production teams. This role works cross-functionally in a highly visible role to align upon annual strategic direction for the selected business segment, provides business visibility on trends and various business KPIs.
What You'll Do
• Support assortment strategy alignment with Global Merchandising and Category management for seasonal breakthroughs by providing option count insights and recommendations for key categories and attributes.
• Align with Global Merchandise Financial Planning team on long term revenue forecast & product strategy.
• Maintain a constant relationship with the regional and global planning, merchandising, finance, sourcing, and supply teams to understand the demand forecasting drivers.
• Support in the creation of analysis for the monthly Global S&OP for upcoming key product launches.
• Support Manager and Global Planning team capturing information, crafting, and updating Power BI reporting tools to help drive the business forward through data driven decisions.
• Leverage analytics to provide business insights to support company decision-making.
• Provide transparency on planning KPIs including, but not limited to Forecast Accuracy, Forecast Bias, Weeks of Coverage, Stock Turns, Inventory Cost.
• Analyze pre-season, in-season, and post-season sales to identify opportunities to maximize sales and SKU productivity and minimize inventory and margin risk in future season for selected business segment.
• Prepare and present materials to leadership teams for bi-weekly and seasonal hindsight selling meetings to help make data driven decisions based on current business trends.
• Develop and implement action plans to help optimally drive business forward through flow of information among cross functional teams.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
• Analyze historical data and market intelligence to make informed demand forecasts.
• Work closely with sales, marketing, and production teams to gather insights and align on demand planning strategies.
• Cultivate effective communication and collaboration across different departments to achieve common goals.
What You'll Bring to the Table
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Mathematics, or related field is required. Professional experience, beyond requirement, in a related field may substitute for a bachelor’s degree requirement on a year for year basis.
• 5-7 years of experience of planning experience (Demand/Merch/Assortment) in a multichannel setting is required. Strong preference for consumer goods, footwear, or fashion/apparel proven experience.
• Strong and effective cross-functional interpersonal skills.
• Experience adapting communication style for various audiences.
• Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demand and Assortment Planning experience is required.
• SKU Count and productivity analysis
• Must have extensive experience and fluency in Excel tools and functionality.
• Experience with Power BI Reporting tools
• Experience with topline Merchandise Financial Planning, Demand and Assortment Planning systemic solutions; ideally with o9 Solutions.
