Overview
The Sr. Accountant at Crocs, Inc. is a team member who will be an energetic, process driven, detailed and accurate, creative problem solver who can take the lead, but can collaborate in an international environment. This role is part of a team responsible for inventory and cost accounting across Crocs global entities. You will play a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy of our accounting and controls over inventory. You will serve as a key partner to operations, ensuring financial results reflect underlying business activity, while maintaining a strong control environment and supporting external reporting and audits. Our business continues to grow, and we are looking for someone who is eager to learn, can adapt to quick changes, willing to find root causes to a problem and proactively improve the processes.
What You'll Do
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing procedures including preparation of journal entries, inventory tie-outs and variance analysis
- Work directly with stakeholders across the business to ensure complete and accurate recording of inventory costs derived from supply chain expenses or material variances
- Reconciliation of general ledger accounts with a specific focus on properly accrued positions, accurately stated inventory balances and timely communication and resolution for any issues caught in the reconciliation process
- Maintain proper inventory valuation in the company’s ERP system (SAP) based on costs reported into our inventory planning software
- Ability to comprehend complex accounting topics and determine the appropriate treatment as required under US GAAP
- Perform ad hoc duties and analysis as needed to support corporate and regional functions
- Lead process improvement and transformation by optimizing inventory accounting workflows, supporting automation and system changes, and enabling new initiatives (e.g. product launches) with appropriate accounting treatment and controls.
- Assist with the preparation of external audit requests with efficiency and effective communication
- Maintain documentation in compliance with internal and external requirements ensuring adherence to SOX controls
- Participate in and promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development
What You'll Bring to the Table
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, CPA a plus
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Technical knowledge of US GAAP
- Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP a plus
- Experience with SOX / Internal Controls
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary or Pay Range: $85,000 - $95,000
Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.
