Overview
The Product Developer, Lifestyle at Crocs Inc. will be responsible for the development of new Lifestyle footwear designs as well as other projects involving colors and graphics on carryover product. Starting from the initial ideation phase through manufacturing. The position will work with and support the Product Creation Team to develop a wide range of In-line products, calendar, and process improvement, and achieve product objectives around aesthetic, quality, and cost within the necessary timeline.
What You'll Do
- Work with a global, cross-functional product creation team from building and development achievements through commercialization to build products that go above and beyond.
- Ability to analyze design packs and prepare for factory deliverables.
- Maintain Product Bill of Materials (BOM) and communicate costing for products in development.
- Identify potential manufacturing, efficiency and costing concerns during the product development cycle and cost targets.
- Own the sample process, including submitting clear sample request, summarize product teardowns within the team, and document and communicate any revisions accordingly.
- Communicate opportunities to product teams for improved construction, materials, and components to improve functionality, aesthetics, duty, and fit.
- Initiate meetings with product teams during various phases of development to review, evaluate, update and ultimately drive the decision-making process that leads to on–time production confirmation and goals.
- Ability to identify process improvement opportunities.
- Ability to work independently and provide guidance to team through explanation of facts and policies.
- Ability to speak to and predict margin and duty classification.
- Assist on production quality issues when vital.
- A strong foundation of supplier capabilities, factory relations, quality issues, material pricing, and lead times.
- Understands and maintains standards for design quality and development process.
- Successfully able to navigate and prioritize deliverables in a fast-paced working environment.
- Responsible for the physical management and storage of prototypes and sample.
- Understand and drive timelines with our cross-functional departments, manufacturing partners, and material supply chain.
- Knowledge of modern and traditional footwear construction techniques, including lasted shoe construction.
Understanding lifestyle footwear materials, including outsoles, midsoles, and uppers.
What You'll Bring to the Table
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in related field is required.
- Two (2+) years of experience in product creation or similar role is required. Education, beyond requirements, in a related field may substitute for professional experience requirement on a year for year basis.
- Expanded conceptual understanding of the product development and manufacturing process.
- Strong project management skills.
- Proven verbal and written communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and develop effective responses for unique process exceptions using experience and sound judgment.
- Detail oriented, self-motivated with strong decision-making capabilities.
- Demonstrates a passion for premium products and team building, fostering a positive, collaborative culture and working effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Some domestic and international travel may be required.

Salary or Pay Range: $85,000 - $95,000
Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.
