The Manager, Indirect Procurement will lead the full category management lifecycle process for large, global categories, including development of the detailed category management strategy and identification of opportunities.  This role will also be responsible for the category strategy implementation and execution activities, will define the annual goals, and will be the primary owner of the management of the supplier relationship process.  The ideal candidate will work closely with all partners to ensure that the strategies are executed to the benefit of the company. This role will also have a focus on Source/Procure-To-Pay centralized operations.

What You'll Do

  • Build and implement multi-year category strategies to meet company objectives and department goals, including cost savings, supplier rationalization, and risk mitigation, while ensuring the maintenance of quality and service levels.
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end procurement process for indirect categories, including but not limited to, professional services, marketing, HR, facilities, IT, travel, and utilities.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select qualified suppliers, negotiate favorable contracts, achieve creative commercial outcomes and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure optimal pricing, terms, and performance.
  • Collaborate with internal partners, such as business groups, legal, and operations, to understand their requirements and provide procurement expertise and support.
  • Assist in Source/Procure-To-Pay process improvement, oversee PO creation and business spend management automation.
  • Conduct regular market analysis and benchmarking to stay informed of industry trends, pricing, and best practices, while applying this knowledge to drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.
  • Drive supplier performance management by establishing key performance indicators (KPIs), supervising supplier performance against targets, regular business reviews and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement sourcing strategies, RFPs, RFIs, and supplier selection processes to support business needs and initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the supply market, supplier capabilities, supply and demand balance and industry innovations to support the business's long-term strategic goals.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while executing procurement activities.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field; master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
  • 6+ years of experience demonstrating progressively increasing responsibility in indirect procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management, preferably within footwear/ consumer goods.
  • Proven track record of 4+ years of successfully managing indirect procurement categories and delivering cost savings and other valuable benefits to the organization.
  • Strong understanding of procurement best practices, advanced contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
  • Excellent analytical, financial acumen, and quantitative skills to assess and analyze complex data sets and make informed decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization and build consensus.
  • Proficiency in procurement and sourcing technologies and tools, such as e-sourcing, spend analysis, and contract management systems (SAP, Ariba, Power BI, Coupa etc.).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and self-motivated to identify trends and improvement opportunities aligned with business objectives and strategic plans.
  • Committed to achieving goals and constantly seeking ways to improve performance in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to a given audience, present information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to extract key themes, determine root cause(s), implement corrective action(s) as needed and develop creative solutions to complex problems.

Title: Manager, Indirect Procurement 

Salary or Pay Range: $110,000 - $115,000  

Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.
