Overview
The Manager, Global Planning is responsible for supporting and driving global planning strategies that align product, channel, regional, and financial priorities. This role partners closely with Global Merchandising, Global MFP, Regional Planning, Commercial, and Supply partners to translate business strategies into actionable plans that support revenue goals, inventory efficiency, and profitable growth. This position requires a strong analytical approach, clear communication, and the ability to influence cross-functional partners through data-backed insights, proactive recommendations, and strong process ownership. The Manager, Global Planning, will play a key role in seasonal planning, investment guidance, performance analysis, and ongoing business management across global planning workstreams.
What You'll Do
Global Planning & Business Strategy
• Drive global planning strategies that align financial objectives, product priorities, and commercial goals
• Partner with Global Merchandising, Global MFP, and Regional Planning teams to convert seasonal strategies into practical business plans
• Influence assortment, investment, and channel planning decisions through data-driven recommendations and business insights
• Ensure alignment between global strategies and regional execution throughout the planning lifecycle
• Represent Global Planning priorities in monthly, seasonal, and cross-functional business reviews
Business Insights & Performance
• Lead analysis of sales, inventory, and product performance to identify risks, opportunities, and growth drivers
• Deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations to support investment, assortment, and line architecture decisions
• Present business performance, hindsight findings, and forward-looking opportunities to leadership and key collaborators
• Develop reporting and analytical tools that improve transparency and enable faster decision-making
Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence
• Build positive relationships across Merchandising, Commercial, Supply, Finance, and Regional Planning teams to drive alignment and execution
• Influence decisions through clear communication, compelling storytelling, and data-backed recommendations
• Facilitate planning discussions that balance global strategy with regional and channel-specific needs
• Lead collaborator conversations to proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and drive business outcomes
Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement
• Own and improve key global planning processes, tools, and governance routines
• Find opportunities to improve planning efficiency, reporting automation, and cross-functional ways of working
• Establish consistent planning standards, deliverables, and timelines across global and regional teams
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement by challenging existing processes and implementing scalable solutions
What You'll Bring to the Table
- Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, mathematics, finance, merchandising, supply chain, or a related field required
- At least 8+ years of experience in merchandise planning, demand planning, assortment planning, inventory planning, retail planning, or a related field preferred
- Experience in consumer goods, footwear, fashion apparel, or retail preferred
- Direct-to-consumer and/or multichannel planning experience preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Sophisticated Microsoft Excel skills required; experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools preferred
- Strong communication and presentation skills, proficient in translating data into clear business recommendations
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority, gain buy-in, and drive alignment across cross-functional partners
- Strong skills with experience developing, improving, or managing planning processes
- Ability to work optimally in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional, matrixed environment

Title: Manager, Global Planning
Salary or Pay Range: $115,000 - $125,000
Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.
