Crocs is looking for a Manager, Data Governance responsible for driving the adoption of the enterprise data governance framework globally, with a focus on establishing data governance best practices relative to people, processes, and tools, as well as informing the organization’s data and privacy strategy. What You'll Do

  • Through the design and development of data governance products and services enables compliance with data governance standards Metadata Management Data Quality Master  Reference Data Management Authoritative Data Sources Data Lineage Data Architecture DG Org Structure and Stewardship
  • Defining and establishing best practices within functional areas setting goals for working groups comprised of business and technology stakeholders with a vested interest in the successful implementation of data governance
  • Develops implements and monitors a strategic global data governance program including policy and enforcement proactively ensuring the program is aligned with business goals and objectives
  • Advocate for and foster an active data stewardship community through engagement improved tools processes and procedures
  • Identifies and communicates key responsibilities and best practices to ensure the organization promotes a successful attitude confidence in leadership and matrixed teamwork to achieve business results
  • Develop training SOPs and reusable templates to help data governance scale across the enterprise taking into account personas user journeys and workflows
  • Facilitate collaboration with business and technology stakeholders compliance teams eg Cybersecurity GRC Privacy Legal
  • Develops KPIs to measure overall effectiveness of the data governance program and quality of data Develops budget recommendations for executing data governance initiatives and related projects
  • Participates in data governance tool evaluation selection implementation adoption and content management
  • Establishes data governance maturity levels relative to compliance with data governance standards
  • Act as a subject matter expert to stakeholders at all levels of the organization with an ability to confidently convey complex topics to senior leaders in a manner that alleviates ambiguity
  • Partner with the Director of Data Governance to develop a cross functional data governance organization which consist of an executive decisioning body governance committee stewards and custodians Define the roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of data Drive change and influence decision making with governing bodies
  • Drive collaborative efforts between business functional and IT areas resulting in the ability to aggregate and understand differences across disparate data siloes
  • Support the transition and implementation of new business units and other changes into the governance structure to ensure alignment with the overall strategy and business needs
  • Develop the data governance best practices guidance and provide advisory to global stakeholders responsible for adopting data governance principles across the enterprise
  • Partner with our technology organization to enable tool delivery for improved data management for critical data including metadata management data quality data lineage data classification and operational and analytics architecture
  • Work with executive leadership legal information security internal audit data engineering integrations and all business lines to support development approval execution and ongoing adoption of data strategies and policies
  • Enable improved understanding of data literacy data quality and data governance and how it brings business value across the organization
  • Support the personal and professional growth of Data Governance team members by fostering a culture of continuous learning and development

What You'll Bring to the Table

Education: Bachelors degree in the field of Information Management or equivalent experience

Experience: 5 years of professional experience in data governance data management data architecture information technology data analysis data quality master data management or other related fields

Knowledge Skills Experience:

  • Data Governance  5 years
  • Data management and analysis including complex data related projects and programs 5 years
  • Regulatory experience such as GDPR CCPA CPRA SOX PCI GLBA  US and International 5 years
  • Certified Data Management Professional CDMP or similar certifications
  • Hands on experience with data management governance tools such as Collibra Informatica Alation Ataccama data inventory business data glossary technical data catalog metadata management data quality data profiling master data management 5 years
  • Hands on experience mapping data domains subdomains attributes and identification of critical data 5 years
  • Demonstrated performance data management governance team leadership 2 years
  • Process mapping and reengineering 5 years
  • Progressive experience managing complex data related project and programs 5 years
  • Vendor management 5 years
  • Hands on experience developing roadmaps features refining product backlogs prioritization of deliverables in an environment with a variety of stakeholders and conflicting priorities in a fast paced growth environment 5 years
  • Proven ability to effectively engage with senior leaders and provide effective creative solutions and communication to impact and facilitate resolution of a problem-business issue 5 years
  • Product management experience a plus
  • Experience with Reporting and Data Visualization Tools Power BI Tableau Looker etc
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in large data sets
  • Ability to stay informed of emerging trends and advancements in data governance data management data analytics and related fields
  • Ability to work self  guided or as a team with both technical and nontechnical staff
  • Willingness to learn teach and share information with teammates peers administration and users
  • Able to engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Results passionate realistic with a solutions-oriented approach

Title: Manager, Data Governance 

Salary or Pay Range: $130,000 - $150,000  

Workplace Persona: Collaborator  

Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.

 

This position is eligible to participate in a company incentive program.
