Overview

The Director, Planning Systems for Crocs, Inc., reporting to the VP, Product & Supply Chain Technology, leads the strategy, roadmap, and operational excellence for the organization’s global retail and merchandise planning technology ecosystem, with main responsibility for Merchandise Financial Planning and Assortment Planning capabilities. Serving as the key technology partner to various areas of the business, translating business priorities into scalable technology solutions that improve sales, margin, inventory productivity, and overall business performance. The Director will drive planning-system transformation, platform governance, and continuous innovation while leading a high-performing team and enhancing the value of enterprise planning solutions, including o9.

What You'll Do

  • Define and implement the global Planning Systems strategy, multi-year roadmap, and investment priorities, ensuring alignment with business objectives, growth plans, and omnichannel retail initiatives.
  • Own the product vision, delivery, stability, adoption, and continuous improvement of planning platforms and capabilities supporting Merchandise Financial Planning, Assortment Planning, in-season management, and related retail planning processes.
  • Serve as the primary technology partner to Merchandise Planning, Assortment Planning, Finance, Merchandising, Retail, Digital, and Supply Chain leaders to translate business priorities into scalable technology solutions and measurable business outcomes.
  • Provide leadership for o9 Solutions and the broader planning technology ecosystem, governing solution architecture, configuration, data, integrations, releases, performance, security, controls, environment strategy, and platform lifecycle.
  • Lead planning-system implementations, modernization initiatives, and process transformation, establishing strong governance across business cases, prioritization, solution design, testing, change readiness, adoption, benefits realization, and executive communication.
  • Establish and oversee the Planning Systems operating model, ensuring reliable service delivery, production support, incident and problem management, data quality, vendor performance, release management, business continuity, technical debt, and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong partnerships across Data, Enterprise Architecture, Integration, ERP, Product Technology, Infrastructure, Security, Finance, and external solution providers to deliver integrated, reliable, and supportable end-to-end planning capabilities.
  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing team by fostering accountability, talent development, succession planning, and a culture of collaboration, product ownership, innovation, and customer-centricity.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Retail Merchandising, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience leading retail planning technology, enterprise applications, or digital transformation initiatives, including people leadership responsibilities.
  • Deep expertise of retail Merchandise Financial Planning, Assortment Planning, including financial targets, sales and inventory planning, open-to-buy, receipt planning, product and location hierarchies, assortment creation, option and choice planning, and in-season management.
  • Proven experience defining platform strategy, product roadmaps, operating models, and investment priorities that deliver measurable business value and support organizational growth.
  • Proven leadership of enterprise planning platforms such as o9 Solutions, Blue Yonder, Oracle Retail Planning, Anaplan, SAP, or a comparable solution; o9 Solutions experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of planning data and integrations across ERP, merchandising, product, pricing, inventory, retail, digital commerce, data, and reporting platforms; SAP S/4HANA experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale implementations and organizational change, managing budgets and strategic vendor relationships, establishing effective governance, and delivering reliable platforms in a fast-paced global environment.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, build strategic partnerships, navigate ambiguity, and develop a high-performing team and future leaders.

Title: Director, Planning Systems 

Salary or Pay Range: $175,000 - $185,000 

Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.
