Overview

The Director, Data Analytics & Data Products is a technical and product leadership position within the Global Information Technology organization at Crocs Inc. This role is crucial to ensure that Crocs Inc runs as a data driven enterprise. The ideal candidate is a customer focused leader with a strong background in building and deploying impactful enterprise data, insights, and intelligence products. This leader will have a versatile background collaborating extensively with business functions across a global commercial enterprise. They will drive our data strategy execution with emphasis on delivering data & insights as products and services, driving self-service analytics, and democratizing data & insights through intelligent agents.

What You'll Do

  • Thought Leadership: Operate as a trusted technical and product expert within Crocs Inc. on our data and insights assets.
  • Product Leadership: Drive adoption, continuous improvement, and continuous evaluation of deployed data and insights products.
  • Application Development: Hands-on development of rapid prototypes, as well as scaled data and insights products, ensuring compliant use of data assets.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with multi-functional teams including IT and various business teams to identify, refine and prioritize high impact use cases across the enterprise.
  • Communicate to Various Levels: Develop wireframes and data flow diagrams and communicate in ways that can be consumed by different levels of organization with varying degrees of detail to ensure alignment up and down with the same understanding.
  • Documentation: Ensure accurate and sufficient documentation of work artifacts including metrics definitions, business objectives, success criteria for defined products, etc. aligned with business partners.
  • International Outlook: Design and implement scalable solutions that support both US and international operations. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to understand and address regional needs and challenges.
  • Global Compliance and Standards: Ensure all systems and processes adhere to global industry standards and regulatory requirements, particularly concerning data security and privacy.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, including external vendor resources, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate risks across the end-to-end solution where subject matter expertise is required.
  • Relationship Management: Develop strong relationships with regional leaders, external partners, and vendors.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • 10+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree OR 8+ years of experience with a graduate degree. Professional experience in data analytics or data product management roles.
  • 3+ years of experience leading data analytics or data product teams.
  • Demonstratable experience in designing, implementing and deploying scaled data and insights products across the enterprise, with functional experience in some of the following: planning, merchandising, supply chain, wholesale operations, retail operations, marketplaces, digital, marketing, etc.
  • Expertise in enterprise data warehouses such as Snowflake and visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Deep expertise in SQL. Additional programming languages, such as Python, a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML and GenAI is a plus.
  • Versatile background in retail, direct to consumer, fashion/apparel, or footwear businesses.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
  • Exposure to data & AI ethics and compliant use of data.
  • Effective communication skills to provide complex technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Ability to partner with suppliers, business customers, and IT staff on multi-functional projects and service improvements.
  • Proven track record to analyze sophisticated problems and break them down into logical, actionable parts.
  • Excellent analytical skills.

Title: Director, Data Analytics & Data Products 

Salary or Pay Range: $205,000 - $215,000  

Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.

 

At Crocs, Inc. we believe in the power of a blend of in-person and virtual collaboration to drive creativity and strengthen relationships. Your participation in this flexible schedule plays a key role in building a connected and successful team. In-office requirements vary by our work personas: Resident (5 days), Collaborator (4 days), Connector (2-3 days), Explorer (fully remote). This role has been aligned to the Collaborator persona.
